I thought the CIAs involvement in all this was just to.get the USSR to put time, effort, and money into it just because the Americans are doing it? We can't have them more advanced than we are thing. Even if we don't understand it and it isn't real.

I don't know what they are doing, "Psionics" is all highly spiritual, you can not make it anything else...it's just not going to work.

Thanks to you, I now have tapes for remote viewing from the Monroe institute. I listened to one and the sounds/backing track freaked me out a bit. lol so I stopped listening. It was very much like hypnosis, which I suppose is the idea to go into a trance state. 

All I can say is that the subconscious mind is remarkable, I don’t doubt that it has a huge role to play in nearly everything we call paranormal and tele-something.

I came across a fascinating online book that offers a physics explanation for so-called paranormal phenomena.  It is based on Dr. Matti Pitkanen's TGD-physics (which evolved from John Archibald Wheeler's GeometroDynamics).  Pitkanen serves as a referee/judge on many physics journals/publications.  Unfortunately, TGD fulfills Einstein's belief that geometry explains everything.  Now this isn't high-0school geometry but very complex geometries far beyond Minkowski and Hilbert spaces.

This is called shamanistic sickness.. initiation 

The first 'Great Experience' (Spring 1985, most probably) was associated with a physical illness with a completely wrong diagnosis. This altered state of consciousness lasted for a couple of weeks. Its effect was so deep that I did not hesitate to talk about it as an enlightenment experience.

Perhaps the most important realization in both great experiences was that the really interesting problem was the mystery was Consciousness. And related to this the realization was that Free Will is actual and that in some sense our subjective past is a fiction (or at least something "editable").

 

Out-of-Body Experiences (OBEs) are often understood as experience of seeing oneself from a position outside of the body. OBEs are poorly understood in the framework of neuroscience and pose a challenge for the reductionistic world view

The basic idea is that the Magnetic Body serves effectively as a mirror
defining a third person view as a cognitive representation also in ordinary
wake-up state. And that during OBEs, this representation becomes sensory
representation.

Not sure how far you guys went down this rabbit hole. There are things like possession and other things...I once had to "fight" to get back in my body, not a good time. I think there was some tests with Ingo Swann that proved the magnetic electric business isn't required when it comes to consciousness and communication or perception.

I wonder how many people like Matti Pitkänen goes through a strange initiation and then produces science papers, if this happened in the esoteric world every word would be studied and cross matched with other things and codes looked for
