As stated already, friendly neighbors can change quickly depending on the situation.
A 12 ga is most common shotgun and very easy to hand reload the shells with anything. Marbles work great. Stock primers, powder and crayons.
Forget the axes. Handsaws are much more quiet.
Do not cook in the open, the smell will carry as far as the axe strikes, many miles.
Learn to make lump coal. It stores and carries better than wood and can be made very easily. It is also one ingredient of black powder. Many wood stoves can be made to work on lump coal. You need lots of trees though.
You need to work out a hand pump for backup on that well. Solar might not be available.
How far are you from Yellowstone? You need to check. I am in the 3 to 6 inch area for ash. That is Georgia. West of Alabama will be gonners from building collapse. The ash will be in feet there.
How close are you to the East coast? When that island in the Azors colapses, there will be around a thousand foot high wave hit the eastern USA.
How far from the nearest nuclear reactor are you? It will explode from a steam explosion around a month or so after power and infrastructure loss. They all will do this as they require cooling for months to shut down safely. I am no more than 50 miles from several and there is no area safe from them for many states away from me.
Considering those last problems, do you need to move?
I know too much and question everything.
Does anyone know the minimum safe distance of ignorance?
Did anyone ask the monkeys how much fun the barrel actually was?

Those and swamp coolers don't work in areas of high humidity. Consider your local climate conditions year-round when planning.

I have seen at least one mention of cash. A small amount is useful for a few days and then as fire starters should the worst occurre.
Tools and knowledge to get what is left going is the best way forward in that situation.

Learn to distill your own alcohol.
It has many uses such as an antiseptic, preservative or trade....and let's be honest, sometimes a shot of something after a hard day hits the spot.
It can be made from just about anything that will ferment, like potatoes, apples, corn, watermelon, squash or pumpkin......

I think considering all the characteristics of one's location should be the first step, right?

Feminine hygiene products. If you have women of menstruating age, they'll be a welcome "luxury". If not, you can still use them for trade.
Being in Canada, water may be the easiest part. During the winter you could save what water you have stored and just use melted snow.
Since pepper spray is illegal there, you really shouldn't soak some Ghost Peppers in 70% alcohol for at least 8 hours and then add some cooking oil or mineral oil for extra stickiness and then strain into a spray bottle.

I also have direct access to an exposed underground water hole my basement where I can directly bail water then filter it.
I am studying and making my own medicines as well as I will be planting specific plants for the medicine and food. I am storing bulk items which supposedly will be of great valuable to people if or when TSHTF, such as salt, fire-making items, medicines, first aid items etc. I have started to store bulk alcohol to also use for first aid/medicinal purposes.
I was debating on how to keep warm so I bought mylar blankets and my first 'go to' would be to make a small enclosed mylar-lined tented area in my home for sleeping, while also weatherproofing doors/windows with layers of cardboard, blankets and mylar, then using radiant candle heaters - lots of them. But now I am seriously considering installing a wood burning stove to make as my first 'go to', then I can always fall back on my other plan if wood becomes unavailable.
We have plans for my daughter's fiance to take a shooting/firearm's course and buy firearm(s). Myself and my partner already know how to handle a firearm, I just let my license slip and can't be bothered to renew it, but we only need one licensed member who can buy multiple firearms and we'll just use them, if needed. But we intend to, or hope that, our neighbors will congregate to form a small group where we all will help each other and assign specific jobs to those with existing expertise, such as hunting animals for meat, nursing/doctoring, farming, etc.
I would like to know what I have missed and/or what your prepper life looks like if you would be so kind to share.
Olive trees. They take around 5 years to establish to harvest the yummy oil, but the "fuel / feed that they dump can be used earlier.
Also look into bamboo. its a dirty word here but so very useful.

Avoid large groups-
Learn how to use symbols instead of words for communication between groups your group may operate with-
Stash large medicine rations along the way-
If it is an aggressive alien invasion subterranean or below sea may provide some cover-
If you're a risk taker and everything is failing...try to locate black operations technologies, crafts UFO - USO or hybrid and science. Maybe you can open portals into longterm or temporary timespace dimensional envelopes until they leave or generate wormholes if you locate a secret hybrid Collider ijs and leave this world in the black operations science and or crafts... Most groups will fail attempting this option, but not all.
Can't share all the potential responses but here are a few.

In theory what types of CREATOR Creations or beings then would humanity attract with the vibes the entire species combined is giving off?

I am looking into fruit trees, more so berry bushes, but my climate can only support certain species, as for bamboo well I have neighbors and bamboo is highly invasive, so I have ruled it out. I'm not sure I'll be living in my current location for 5 years so I have to think about planting quick growing food plants and store certain fuels for now, but thanks for the tips because perhaps they may serve others here on this thread.

Look at Java Plumb, it grows quick and will live ok in temperate environments. Years back when I lived in the family home, I go out the front and there are these old Indian dudes harvesting it and they freak out Im just like, 'na its ok, take as much as you want, I have some saplings too".
We planted it because it was fast growing more than for its fruit.
You can even grow them in a pot and still get some yeild. They are pretty hardy.
