Edward Riordan talks about brain types here
Quote:So, it was in the exploration of that and
learning about that that I found a brain type. I call it a brain type called
aphantasia. And I'd never heard of that term before, aphantasia. And I was, what what does
the hell does that even mean? You know, and what it means is someone who doesn't think visually. They don't have on
there's a spectrum of it, but on the far spectrum, people who don't have visual
images, they don't think in pictures at all. And I was just like, wow. And then
you have a spectrum.

Some people, they may think in kind of blurry pictures or maybe a a blurry image with some color
in it or something like that. And then maybe they think in more clear. And on the opposite end of that is what's
called hyperfantasia where people who have very extreme vivid
photographic memory or imagery in their mind where they can just close their
eyes see a whole environment and explore it complete visual full memorization of
it. That's hyperfantasia

The other senses also comes on a spectrum not just visual.

Quote:Hyperphantasia constitutes all five senses within vivid mental imagery, although literature on the subject is dominated by "visual" mental imagery research, with a lack of research on the other four senses.

"lack of research on the other four senses." is a lie, there are many esoteric books out there. You can develop all the senses with meditation and other mystical practices.

I concur entirely.

I suppose people do the best they can together, when at times,
it might benefit them all if they spent some time outside the focus of their sphere.

For the courageous find that the harder you search for something, the more you are beholden to it...

Courage is indeed the issue, you never know what will talk with you and what does it mean of something does, or nothing?

I am of the belief we are ALL on a wired spectrum for this ability, all it takes is to tell yourself, "Yes, I can do this."

So let's try this. And I think someone's "first thought" will be close.

I downloaded a picture which I will not post a clear version of. It is blurred, posterized, and put it through a predator filter. It's of two everyday things taken from a random picture generator. I swear I focused on putting the image out there into the thought universe as I wrote this.

If you want, it is your objective to try to pick out the real image and tell me what you see. Try to clear your mind and tell me the first image that pops into your mind.

What is the orginal image of?

obviously it's a turtle

Sure, why not...

I don't think I'm gonna get many to play with me on this, so i'll use your guess and confirm there are similarities to a turtle in both everyday objects in the picture.

I'm getting a sunny-side-up fried egg and bacon.

That is actually visually closer than a turtle.  And a logical guess based on the obscured picture itself. But saying where you're right would give too many hints making it easier for the next person's guess.

I even open it up to troll answers as a possible backdoor to doing it without knowing you're doing it..

Both are interesting guesses, though, and when I post the picture, you'll see why you've both gotten elements of it correct.

What is the orginal image of?
a person with a flashlight.

Note:
About 2 minutes after reverse-clearing my mind, I recalled that the last image I had looked at was a picture of  Diogenes of Sinope with his lantern. Results may be prejudiced.
There's a reason you separate military and the police. One fights the enemies of the state, the other serves and protects the people. When the military becomes both, then the enemies of the state tend to become the people. - Commander William Adama
