Pope Francis in Hospital for "Complex Clinical Condition'

Like any other event with a specific protocol, it's always a good idea to rehearse it, so everybody knows what to do and where to be.

I must be so far removed from the loop of common social tradition that I have skipped a groove... you 'rehearse' for this?

What is it a "magic show?"  A "gala performance?" A "spectacle for the masses?"

Are there creative elements to be choreographed beyond what centuries of tradition have given us?

The idea of rehearsing a funeral seems strangely 'theatrical.'
These big formal funerals do that kind of thing all the time. Nobody wants to be "that guy" to drop the coffin of the pope or drive a procession down a dead-end road. So, they practice these things. Hell, Carters funeral was rehearsed for nearly two months strait (as in 6 days a week) before he died, and that was just for a simple state funeral. A Pope death is a much bigger thing.

"magic show" might be a great description for how these thing appear. A lot of occult symbolism and ritualistic acts take place.

Thanks in advance.

I've got 10% battery but yes I certainly will.

Things have obviously evolved since a few years ago but they are thick as thieves.

Look forward to you taking the time to read the subject matter.

Cheers

Yeah ... there are hundreds of people involved and lots of traditional things that have to happen.  Everyone has to know where to stand and what to carry.   Everything has to be laid out ahead of time like just so many candles and candle holders to carry and vestments and everything.   MAJOR displays.

They have rehearsals for weddings the night before so that everyone will know their place and what to do and what to say etc.

A funeral of this size, with all the accessories that have to be incorporated ... makes sense to rehearse.

I'm now reading info from Italy at an update site ...

Pope Francis is getting blood transfusions because he has developed anemia.

He's also on oxygen.

This in addition to the pneumonia infection and broncitis.

Yes, that's accurate.

The best way to stay updated is to follow l'ANSA... it is the most neutral source of news in Italy and there's an English language version, so no translating required.

Here is the latest article...
Quote:Pope Francis suffered a respiratory crisis and his condition remains critical, according to a medical bulletin issued by the Vatican Press Office on Saturday evening.
"The condition of the Holy Father continues to be critical.
"Therefore, as explained yesterday, the Pope is not out of danger.
"This morning, Pope Francis presented a prolonged asthmatic respiratory crisis, which also required the application of high-flow oxygen", the Vatican said in the bulletin.
"Today's blood tests moreover showed a thrombocytopenia, associated with anaemia, which required the administration of blood transfusions", it continued.
The Vatican however said the pontiff continued to remain alert and spent the day in an armchair, although he was "more uncomfortable than yesterday".
"At the moment, the prognosis is reserved", the bulletin concluded.
The pontiff was admitted to Rome's Agostino Gemelli Hospital on Friday, Februaty 14 with bronchitis which turned into pneumonia in both lungs.
On Friday afternoon, the head of the medical team treating the pontiff, Professor Sergio Alfieri, said that he was not out of danger but he was not in a life-threatening condition.

Tomb and coffin 'break with tradition'.
No surprise there.
He wouldn't want to actually do something Catholic now would he?

  Popes Funeral Being Rehearsed

Given this Pope's sensibilities, what is meant by "Tomb and coffin break with tradition" is that both will be exceedingly simple and humble, rather than as ornate as would be expected of a Pope.

Francis may opt for little more than a simple pine box for a coffin, and might even have requested to be interred in a cemetery, rather than in the catacombs of St. Peters.

His 'sensibilities' are anti-American, anti-borders, anti-free-market, ... and ANTI-CATHOLIC.
Dude wouldn't even put on the papal shoes when he was elected.
He rules with an iron fist.
Everyone has to get in line with his far left progressive notions or they get the boot.
Just ask Americans like Strickland and Burke ...
And then there is Vigano ...
And of course the 'traditional Catholics' who go to Latin Mass ...

The Vatican usually lies about popes and says 'everything is fine' when it is not.
I don't think they even ever actually officially admitted that ST PJPII had Parkinsons.
So for them to officially announce that he's in critical condition, that means that
the story was going to get out anyways so they got ahead of it and he really is ...
