That isn't street-smarts, it isn't urban survival, it isn't some expression of identity.

I'm doing my job and I'm assaulted?

I am very much against any destruction/abuse of -- person -- their property -- their livelihood -- their family.
Surveillance cameras are cheap enough now almost anyone can afford them. All businesses should be required to have them. Homes too if you have reason to believe you need them.
Personally, I think perpetrators should be shot on sight for these offensives.

Ah! Here is another possible reason for the in-person gathering:
Quote:Pentagon plans widespread random polygraphs, NDAs to stanch leaks
Thousands of uniformed and civilian officials would be required to sign nondisclosure agreements and take lie detector tests, as Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth ramps up war on leakers.
The Pentagon plans to impose strict nondisclosure agreements and random polygraph testing for scores of people in its headquarters, including many top officials, according to two people familiar with the proposal and documents obtained by The Washington Post, escalating Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s war on leakers and internal dissent.
All military service members, civilian employees and contract workers within the Office of the Defense Secretary and the Joint Staff, estimated to be more than 5,000 personnel, would be required to sign a nondisclosure agreement that “prohibits the release of non-public information without approval or through a defined process,” according to a draft memo from Deputy Defense Secretary Steve Feinberg.
A separate document also from Feinberg would establish a program to randomly polygraph those officials. The documents do not prescribe a limit on who would be subjected to these agreements and tests, suggesting it could include everyone from four-star generals to administrative assistants.
The efforts are part of a wider strategy by the Trump administration and the Pentagon to ferret out officials deemed insufficiently loyal or who provide information to reporters.
Pentagon spokespeople did not return a request for comment. https://www.washingtonpost.com/national-...own-leaks/

Polygraphs are one of the favorite tools of the thought police... used for the exploitation of self-disclosure. Which is why they read you your rights before they do it.
It's largely a con game.
Like waterboarding "for information gathering purposes."

Polygraph tests are pretty common in the hiring of law enforcement personnel. Perhaps they are having issues with people lying on their pre-employment screening and background checks because thats what it's used for in Texas. I don't understand how they're making their connection to "Its for leakers!" When it could be as simple as "Did you do drugs today?" Or " Have you taken any bribes recently?" Which sounds much more logical than "Are you leaking?" Even if it was for leaking do you really want the Pentagon having a leak? The headquarters for the U.S. Department of Defense? Thats a very bad idea in so many ways. Also, it looks like the NDA's are trying to stop the people working for defense projects from leaking non public information which is also a good thing. Why would we want other countries knowing what we have? These NDA's hold them very accountable and the polygraph can root moles and who knows what else.

This man's military looks to be exhibiting an assortment of malaise.
But now... a moment of silence for the first and last 4 star Admirals, and highest ranking females in the armed services.
They were only appointed to break gender barriers and push diversity anyway.
And also new PT standards for the 3,800 women serving in frontline Army combat roles and 112 enlisted Marines and 15 female officers serving in infantry or other ground combat roles.
Unless they can meet the 1990 standards of fitness designed for the upper body strength of men...
I hope all combat servicewomen crossfit and meet the sexist standards.
Quote:During his address, Hegseth announced that all military combat roles must meet the "highest male standard" for physical fitness. He added that if this change results in fewer or no women qualifying for combat jobs, "so be it".
I guess forcing women back into support roles is included with getting rid of the woke stuff..
Thank you, Major Pig [snipped]

I think that men and women are equally capable of flying aircraft.
Men and women are NOT equally capable when it comes to hand-to-hand combat, ruck marching 20 km, fireman carrying a wounded comrade, breaking tank track, lugging 155mm rounds and a host of other essential military activities that require brute force and male levels of physical endurance.
Like in any trade, you have to have the proper tools to be effective for the job.
One example…
In the mid 90’s, 82nd Airborne, there was an incident where a female medic who weighed less than 100 pounds was on a Hollywood jump.
When she exited the aircraft, she had a weak exit and her mass was not enough to deploy her chute.
Instead she became a towed jumper, was beaten against the side of the plane into a bloody pulp, and died.
Don’t take my word for it.

The Commander in Chief sets the agenda and gives the orders. The military follows them. If the military people don't like them, they can resign. They do not have the luxury of picking and choosing which orders and which agenda to follow. The US military doesn't work like that. NO military works like that.
Apparently, our military works like that.
According to every article I can find discussing the Uniform Code of Military Justice and the Department of Defense Manual of Warfare, members of the uniformed services are REQUIRED to disobey orders that are unconstitutional and/or illegal and are taught the difference between the two during training.
Examples include:
- Orders that direct a soldier to commit acts such as the intentional targeting or killing of civilians, the torture or abuse of prisoners, or the looting of property.
- Violations of U.S. Law:
- Domestic Law Enforcement: Using federal military forces for law enforcement duties against civilian protesters, which is prohibited by the Posse Comitatus Act unless there is a genuine insurrection.
- Unlawful Deportations: Orders that involve the military in the deportation or removal of immigrants to countries where they may face torture.
- Violations of International Law: Orders to engage in military actions that violate international treaties, such as an unprovoked attack on another country without a military strike or imminent threat.

Okay... Sure...
I dont think it's about that at all. There's tons of women of 125 pounds plus, weighing way more in gear that can still be fucking paratroopers.
It's a subliminal message more than anything. My bias says:
Hegseth, being another TEXTBOOK chauvenist, doesn't like women, who in his mind should be housewives (my projection), serving in typical masculine roles. Because women acting masculine is included in woke shit now.
I'll give everyone combat loads are sometimes over 100 pounds... That's hard at 115 pounds, and invites back problems. But they average 50-80 lbs and 100-115 lbs can carry that all day.
It seems he wants to use the most extreme circumstance to refeminize women, as part of a larger cultural reclamation for the Manosphere. It's like they are doing everything possible too..
Because female empowerment in male roles = feminism = woke = a vile cultural disease to squash out at all costs.
Another projection i will project upon him is he probably also reads the standard manosphere The End of Men lesbophobia bullshit.
It's sad to see THAT clean up the military. Why can't we be like the IDF where 20% of their frontline combat roles go to women? Doesn't hurt them the slightest bit.

I have a quarrel with the wording there included in Domestic Law Enforcement; The phrase "unless there is a genuine insurrection." there should be more specificity on who can 'declare' such a thing... it cannot be subjective... yet it's worded as if it could be as simple as a "political" pronouncement... we all saw how well that went when the political theater produced the blockbuster "Overthrow of the government!" on Jan 6th...
(and everybody helped.)
Sending someone to a place they are certain to be killed is not humane.... so they send them to their fate elsewhere. It seems reasonable to infer that if some community has deemed you a criminal hazard... "you can't just sneak in and hide here" is the message.
BUT the BIG bullshit KAHUNA "invention" here is the bit about "International Law" somehow "mandating" US soldiers. That's a diplomatic fantasy... and they well know it... many have actually lived to see the fantasy of being directed by "International Law" as a source of authority.
Some would say the G-damned globalist creeping in... wanting 'control' over US policies.
(Just like all the "say" we have in their policies, right?)
US Citizens are NOT in anyway subject to law not 'of' the US....
Since most of our laws are similar in effect, it hardly matters,
And just cause you didn't get charged there, it doesn't mean you all good here, mind you.
So there's my take on that 'statement.'
