Food increased about 200 in that time.
Gas/Electric about 75
Auto-related increases about 400.

Total about 1,375 in increases. Which is actually about a 30% increase overall. Or around $16,500.

My mortgage went up, but only because of property taxes.  Increase of maybe $50 a month.  Car insurance actually decreased.
Food went up, but that is where i am getting my yearly increase above, I think worst case $200 more a month too.

Editing to say , the biggest leap as ideo said above is probably renting - and they are trying to squeeze out the home 'owners ' too, by tacking on HOA fees or raising them, or increasing taxes.
Likewise, don't forget the continuing centralisation corporatocracy push by having all these corporations buy up single family homes so that those TOO can be rented.

Ironically... or maybe not, we travel down a path many would never take, if the choice were made for their children, instead of themselves.

I too am frightfully subject to the economic... what shall I call it?... chicanery, voudou?
It is not comfortable, but then, that was never a guarantee.

I think that like most empires, they will discover that centralization is a dead end, humans will not be tamed... only actively deceived.

I need a drink.

Blue sadly- Taxachusetts

Let me summarize my last 4 years:

Car insurance went up 50.00/month - I called my insurance company to find out why; I was told that there are more accidents and non insured (illegals) so everybody’s insurance went up. I know 3 different people who were hit by illegal drivers. In all cases, my friends had to pay the deductible because not only did the other drivers not have licenses, they had no insurance and spoke 0 English. No one got arrested.

Gas up

Food - On average 400.00/month more than I used to spend. I also cook a lot, no take out (maybe twice a year), I couldn’t believe how expensive take out has become. I also clipcoupons and go to about 3 different stores to maximize my savings.

My last old car tried to kill me, I had no choice but to buy another old car, I found a used Hyundai for 7,000.00, add sales tax new gas tank (gas tank started leaking first month 600.00, steering rack 1,300.00, month 3, rear brakes 650.00 month 6. All while my store cut overtime for Sundays, and recently lost 5 hours to absorb 3 other girls from other closed stores.

These last 4 years, (Thanks Biden), we’re the hardest of my life. I literally do not have 10.00 to spend or save after paying my bills.

Eggs are still 7.99 at the cheapest but hoping they will come down soon.

I know many elderly people who now just eat baby food because it’s cheaper.

We need jobs, opportunities. We never should have outsourced our manufacturing, and call center jobs. We need to concentrate on fixing our country period. We may even need to let it crash at this point to start rebuilding, the damage done by the last administration seems unrelenting at this point. Many People are one crisis away from losing their homes.

The county I live in was 8 votes away from turning Red, so there is hope:)
In tune

I am just not seeing it.
Yeah things are pricier, but not $1,000 more a month pricier.
wtaf are these people buying?
lol
Yeah, not seeing it myself either.  Food, insurance and cable are the biggest changes I see.
Maybe $400-500 per month.  Maybe.
BTW, I am in a state closer to blue than to red.
Timor est magnus animus interfectorem!!!
