I don't ask a question I don't already know the answer to.  Because I'll look it up first before posting.

I ask the question to see what people respond with.

And to be honest, it's mostly out of ignorance.

I don't have any obligation to prove to you what is patently true.

I could say, "The sky is blue" and you'll just say, "prove it!"

At that point I tend to ignore you because I don't waste my time on stupid people.

You are obliged to prove your stance when you engage with other members and tell them they are ignorant on the subject matter.

Nobody said anything about a lie here. You are jumping into a discussion that you haven't a clue what the subject matter is.
