Of course they heard, and believed that... but from whom?
Over and over, as information informing the citizenry.

I see a pattern too.
As for the "taking a knee" thing, I always equated it to 'tie a yellow ribbon round the old oak tree' kind of thing.... is it still 'meaningful' now?
