Hyperbolic language.   He was calm.   And as for your 'long enough' ... he had a car coming at him and a woman trying to run him down.   It's a split second decision, and he decided to protect himself.   He still ended up in the hospital with internal bleeding.   Obviously she wasn't turning away from him.   She hit him.   DUH.

ICE can not enter a home without a warrant from a judge. Nothing was mentioned about them showing a warrant.

The Department of Homeland Security on social media said in a statement enforcement officers were carrying out "a targeted traffic stop" when the shooting occurred around 6:50 p.m.


"As the officer was being ambushed and attacked by the two individuals, the original subject got loose and began striking the officer with a shovel or broom stick. Fearing for his life and safety as he was being ambushed by three individuals, the officer fired a defensive shot to defend his life. Yes, they were obviously standing by watching ICE break into a home and then heard gunfire.
