I doubt they can hold out long enough that the loss of sales is more than a blip on the companies radar. IF there is any noticeable loss.

Leftist causes seem to start with a whine and end with a whimper.

Around here, there are lots of small businesses and even the larger ones are not getting rich.  We really do not have big corporations that are here, and those businesses will have to get rid of employees that make it so they cannot survive.  Otherwise if they go under, big businesses will come in and take over, businesses that will siphon out all the prophit from the area and cause less self sufficiency of our area.  The liberals will not be hurting big corporations, they will hurt all the smaller businesses which employ people.  Remember, the small businesses rely on the big businesses to get supplies.

If you don't need much, you won't miss much when things are cut back.   Where I live we've been seeing an .... 'entropy of supplies' for several years.  Here's a tip:   If you require ethyl alcohol, discover a way to make it for yourself.

The only two groups who will participate in this are students and those without jobs. There is considerable overlap between the two groups. This will have no discernable effect on the economy, but it will give pseudo-journalists something on which to practice their ChapGPT story skills. Nobody else gives a rip. For my part, I will make a couple of extra Amazon purchases of things I don't need just to show how much I care.
Everything hurts and I'm tired.

I feel the angst, I really do.   I have protested several times in past, however I have never left my job in protest, because that would have resulted in me losing my apartment/flat/house/studio.   I have had this damnable annoying habit of being responsible.  Responsible for myself.  Bills to pay.   Auto insurance.  Keeping the lights on seemed important.

I think this will amount to a tempest in a teapot.

I'd like to think that 99% of working Americans won't quit their jobs, for a (probable) Soros-funded circle-jerk.

Somewhat crudely put, however accurate.  Surely, though, not just Soros.  So many rich liberals, so little time.   People that have to be responsible for their families won't give this a first or second look, and I believe those folk are the core and majority of the U.S.

I once lived in a commune outside L.A.  We all smelled.  I left after three months, seeking more modern enlightenment.  With soap.

Try this stuff, it's only $40 for 10oz: https://onyxcoffeelab.com/products/kenya...3278581858
Or stop by if you live in Arkansas for the full Portland Oregon experience.

You too can spend way to much on luxuries and then complain about the cost of living!

(It is delicious coffee though)

My grandaughters husbands father gets fifty pound bags of coffee beans from Guatamala and some other areas around the world and roasts them in his coffee processing shop in his garage.  He has a business selling to people.  He charges eighteen bucks a pound bag of it, his bags have his company name on them and he has his licenses and is insured.  He is super fussy, only buying from certain suppliers through some growers through a company he deals with.  It is great coffee, select beans, perfect roasting, but was pretty expensive compared to the coffee we get.  So we baby sit  the great grandkids, and we get them on the bus in the morning, my grandson-in-law drops them off before going to work.  Then we get them off the bus and make supper for them and my grandson-in-law most evenings...so I can get as much free coffee as I want...but don't want to get spoiled, so we add about five percent to the folgiers or maxwell house which we get cheap and it tastes great.  When we get company I will use the good stuff.  I asked Kevin, his father, if the price of his beans has increased a few weeks back, and he said no, not on the last order about a month ago.

I guess the rise of coffee prices was through the companies that speculate in the commodities trading, it does not effect the stuff coming from small farms, speculation brings up the price and the areas where his come from are not experiencing drought, storms, or floods, so the price has not gone up that much.

I should order another bag of ground up coffee, only have a half a pound left and like to have enough in stock.  I just have to tell my grandsoninlaw and he will pick one up.  His parents would do what we do but they are way out of the way, and we are only a few miles out of the way.  He wants them to go to the local school, not thirty miles away, they used to live a few miles from us but moved to a different town.

Pretty soon his coffee might be cheaper than the stuff in the store, at that point I probably will not get anymore coffee, everyone will be buying his brand of coffee instead of the commercial stuff if it is the same price and I am sure when prices go that high, even though he has been doing this for many years now, there will be a shortage in that too as more people who buy from that company sell more.

He has a nice setup and because he has a license and inspections yearly, his roasting and processing area is very clean and free of bugs and mice and stuff like that.  It has to have some climate control too, not too much humidity and not freezing temperatures, it has to be somewhat heated but since it is a small operation, it does not take a real lot of room in his building, it is about the size of a small one car garage.

I like the coffee that is not fermented myself, he has the fermented beans too which lots of people love the taste of.  He sells both, and he has many types of coffee to choose from.  Most people he sells to like the beans and grind them themself, I get it already ground.  He tied up a lot of money in that equipment, all stainless steel and he even has the heat sealer for the bags.  I don't think he makes a much money with that, but he enjoys doing it.  He sells to some small health stores, some of his beans are also certified organic.
