Napalm smells like victory
#1
We supposedly are no longer making or using Napalm because....We have something better !!
For anyone who has been around a flame thrower cleaning out pill boxes (WW2 films) or the after effects of Napalm on a jungle and enemy troops...Napalm strikes terror in anyone who knows anything about Napalm if you are on the receiving end of a strike.

War sucks and is terrible but kinda like Patton said, " Make the enemy die for their country not you for yours!"

It's amazing how many weapons were invented because someone thought "this will be so horrible it will total deter anyone and we'll never have to use it".

The machine gun, for example. That didn't work the way Maxim thought.

I think too, that the money ploughed into new weapons design also gives us new technologies.

It's all rather sad Ultra.

And super simple to make at home.

Helps keep the riff-raff off the lawn.

Your lawn might not look so good though.... Spin

I dug a large pond and piled up the cut turfs in our orchard.

Rats moved in.  Quite a few of them.

So I poured quite a lot of petrol into the pile and lit it.  It went up with a massive "Whump".

Voila!  No more rats.

No more eyebrows either and I was a bit singed.
'l'll just check my Giveashitometer....Nope.  Nothing...

"Yet so it is, we see the illiterate bulk of mankind that walk the high-road of plain common sense, and are governed by the dictates of nature, for the most part easy and undisturbed. To them nothing that is familiar appears unaccountable or difficult to comprehend."

I'm not so keen on the smell of burnt hair, especially when it's mine.

Lol, I can relate. Back when I was a teenager I worked on cars a lot (used to drag race quite a bit). Of course Chevy's distributer is directly behind the carburetor so, as you're advancing or retarding the timing, you get the inevitable fireball in the face from backfire thru the carb.

Lost so many eyebrows, eyelashes, bangs and mustaches.

Yikes.  I had an Opel Manta GTE coupe with an aftermarket turbo.

Driving the A303 (quite fast..) when it started cutting out.  Pulled in to a garage and stopped next to the petrol pumps

Then noticed that the exhaust was behaving like a flamethrower.

Then a fire engine showed up as apparently other motorists had reported the flames.

Could have ended up like that scene from the Hitcher.

Weird thing was, I was playing Jagged Edge at the time, Fuel for your Soul.

' As long as the river will run

Making love to you woman is Fire on the sun

You feed the fire with Gasoline

I'm the fuel for your soul'

Gulp...
