Quote:Jahn maintained a now-deleted Facebook profile featuring Antifa and communist imagery. Screenshots show a profile picture of an armed figure holding a hammer and sickle, captioned "GLORIOUS EXPOSITION, COMRADE." The account shared anti-ICE content, aligning with the attack's messaging. No other social media platforms have been publicly linked to him. The FBI, DHS, ATF, and Dallas PD are leading the probe, with no ongoing threat reported. This follows a bomb threat at the same facility last month. Updates are expected as digital forensics and witness statements are reviewed.

Now deleted? How convenient.

I'll wait to hear from his family and friends and not take the FBI's word too seriously.

For a different perspective...
Quote:
do social media pages of shooting suspects get taken down

Yes, social media pages and accounts of shooting suspects are frequently taken down, typically by the platforms themselves shortly after the incident becomes public. This practice is common across major sites like Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, Twitter/X, and others, often as part of their content moderation policies to prevent the spread of violent content, glorification of the perpetrator, or potential inspiration for copycat attacks.
Why This Happens
  • Platform Policies on Violence and Harm: Companies like Meta (Facebook/Instagram) and TikTok have rules against content that promotes or glorifies violence, terrorism, or self-harm. After a shooting, any posts, videos, or profiles linked to the suspect that contain threats, manifestos, or footage are removed to comply with these guidelines.
  • Preservation for Investigations: While accounts are suspended or deleted, platforms often archive copies for law enforcement. However, this doesn't always prevent users from screenshotting and recirculating content before removal.
  • Public Backlash and Media Pressure: High-profile cases draw immediate scrutiny, prompting swift action to avoid accusations of amplifying harm.
Examples from Recent Incidents
  • In the 2022 Highland Park parade shooting, tech firms quickly identified and shut down the suspect's online presence, including posts that could incite further violence. Despite this, users rapidly shared screenshots and analyses, highlighting the limits of these takedowns.
  • Following the 2019 Christchurch mosque attack (a mass shooting streamed live), Facebook removed the video within 20 minutes, but copies persisted online due to the digital footprint.
  • In a September 2025 Evergreen High School shooting, TikTok banned accounts associated with the 16-year-old gunman, which had posted white supremacist symbols and references to prior attacks.
  • Just weeks ago, in an August 2025 Minneapolis shooting, the suspect Robin Westman released videos expressing anti-Christian hatred; these were taken down almost immediately after identification.
  • Broader patterns appear in school shootings, such as the January 2025 Nashville case, where the suspect's accounts praising past shooters (e.g., Parkland and Uvalde) were scrubbed, though investigators accessed them for links to other suspects.
Debates and Criticisms
This rapid removal sparks controversy:
  • Pro: It reduces the "notoriety effect," where shooters seek fame via social media, potentially deterring future attacks.
  • Con: It can hinder research into warning signs or motives, as seen in discussions on Reddit about preserving profiles for analysis without glorification. Some argue it allows for narrative control rather than transparency.
In short, while not every minor incident leads to immediate takedowns, high-profile shooting suspects' pages are almost routinely removed to prioritize safety and compliance. If you're asking about a specific case, more details could help narrow it down.

Yeah this!

"Con: It can hinder research into warning signs or motives, as seen in discussions on Reddit about preserving profiles for analysis without glorification. Some argue it allows for narrative control rather than transparency."

That leaves us only with the FBI's narrative where non-questioning MAGA will follow it like sheeple.

No there's a thing in America called the preponderance of evidence, so this is but a piece of evidence, and it can be invalidated by evidence to the contrary, or one can argue the other possibilities.

Completely open to evidence to the contrary.... read where his older brother didn't believe he had strong political leanings either way...

Quote:I realize this is stupid, but I can't not tweet it... ICE shooter Joshua Jahn's father, Andy Jahn, worked for 36 years as an engineer for KONE, Inc., a company that just so happens to provide escalator maintenance at UN headquarters.
  • The X post by
    @gumby4christ
highlights a coincidental connection between Joshua Jahn, the shooter at the Dallas ICE facility, and his father Andy Jahn, who worked for 36 years at KONE, Inc., a company that provided escalator maintenance at the UN headquarters until 2021. This juxtaposition suggests a potential, albeit unlikely, link between the shooter's family background and international organizations, sparking curiosity about the intersection of personal and professional spheres in high-profile incidents.
  • The mention of KONE, Inc.'s role in maintaining UN escalators adds an unusual layer to the narrative, as it ties a mundane aspect of infrastructure maintenance to a tragic event, prompting questions about the breadth of corporate influence and the serendipitous nature of such connections. The post's acknowledgment of its own "stupidity" reflects a self-aware critique of conspiracy theories, yet it invites consideration of how seemingly unrelated details can be woven into broader narratives.
  • The context of the UN seeking new vendors for escalator maintenance in 2023, as noted in the thread, underscores the fluid nature of corporate contracts and the potential for such changes to go unnoticed, yet it also highlights the persistence of certain companies in global operations, raising questions about the stability and transparency of international business relationships in the face of security concerns.

What political ideology has spent the past few months condemning ICE and the President as Nazi's and Gestapo?

Can someone help me out here, I just can't remember.

I can imagine a certain ideology blurring and obfuscating the reasons behind this crime and not even deal with the fact that someone was targeting ICE agents again.

I can only speculate at this point, but I would imagine that Antifa had some influence on this crime.

They haven't accused the shooter of being trans yet so that's a positive. Given time though, I'm sure they'll weave it into the story somehow.
