He posted a video of the arrest, claiming it proves the department is corrupt and biased toward Antifa.

Nick was charged with "disorderly conduct after stepping into a scuffle during a flag-burning," but he was released just hours later.

Police arrested 2 others as well. Nick was doing his job, documenting what was happening on the ground, and should never have been treated like a criminal for trying to report.

Sortor was documenting the chaos in Portland last night.  Supposedly gets jumped.  Then ends up getting arrested.  

Lots of things in play.  

Groups of people supposedly not an organization banding together as ANTIFA to commit acts of violence and vandalism. 

Groups of people trying to prevent ICE from doing their duty.

Sortor documenting the events gets jumped while the police stand down.  Then Sortor gets arrested?  
 
Is this the liberal / democrats vision for the US?

It appears there are Trump supporters stirring up trouble.

"Just before the two began yelling at each other, the Trump supporter was seen approaching protesters and yelling at them.
 A KATU crew saw the Trump supporter, wearing a white shirt that said, “Freedom,” knock the anti-ICE protester to the ground.
 
Federal agents detained both after the two continued arguing. Both men were released. At around 11:16, Portland Police arrested three people and they were charged with disorderly conduct."

Journalist @NickSortor was released from custody this morning after being arrested when he prevented anti-ICE protesters from burning an American flag.
Video posted by @BillMelugin last night shows Sortor taking the flag from the flames before being surrounded.

Wow, interesting city. Very pretty, checked it out on google earth. Then searched news and found more reporters arrested in the past and other signs of corruption. Could just be the news, who knows.

Cases of dysentery are surging in Oregon, with 40 people sickened by the disease in the Portland area in January alone.
There were 158 cases of the illness in Multnomah County in 2024, Oregon Live reported, adding that those cases were among people who hadn’t left the country — meaning, it was contracted in the states. And although there were 40 confirmed cases, officials told the outlet they suspect the actual number of cases is much higher among the city’s homeless population.

Novice numbers though, other countries would demolish you there, not that's a competition. Brining it up because it's a sign of increased people living poverty. Did the population double or just the homeless..
