Multiple Russian Tu-95 bombers burning a massive Ukrainian FPV drone strike
#21
They finally covered this on Fox News.

They also reported that Russia had also attacked Ukraine with several hundred drones last night.

Are they trying to get the last hits in before peace or not wanting peace a all?
I know too much and question everything.
Does anyone know the minimum safe distance of ignorance?
Did anyone ask the monkeys how much fun the barrel actually was?

Came across one recent report where NATO has approved strikes deeper into Russia. Does this now open the door for Russia to now strike back deeper into NATO?

Will this escalation cause Russia to give up on Kiev or will it help rally the nation?

Why? The Ukrainian strikes on Russian airfields used drones.

Yeah, the theory goes this isn't NATO endangering because this seems to be accomplished by good ole Ukrainian knowledge and guts, without American navigation or the US or Germany's long-range weapons.

But we will see, the American public would go bugchit if Mexico carried out such a successful raid against the US. So Russia might be equally enflamed, even though the attack was and is well within Ukraine's rights.

All Russia can do legitimately is piss and moan, Trump warned them they could be hurt in other ways

Well,  the peace talks should be interesting.. I'd imagine the atmosphere will be rather contentious

Tass seems to be downplaying the attack, which they always do. I'd imagine Russia will pretend it doesn't change anything, while Ukraine atleast shows Russia bomber bases are touchable.

The Kyiv regime carried out several terrorist attacks using FPV drones on Sunday against airfields in five regions of Russia.
TASS has compiled the main points from the Russian Defense Ministry’s statement.
Terrorist attacks against airfields
  • The Kiev regime carried out a terrorist attack using FPV drones against airfields in the Murmansk, Irkutsk, Ivanovo, Ryazan and Amur regions.
  • At military airfields in the Ivanovo, Ryazan and Amur regions, all terrorist attacks were repelled.
Consequences
  • In the Murmansk and Irkutsk regions, as a result of the launch of FPV drones from the territory located in the immediate vicinity of airfields, several units of aircraft caught fire.
  • The aircraft fires have been extinguished.
  • There were no casualties among military or civilian personnel.
  • Some of the participants in the terrorist attacks have been detained.

Well, that won't bode well regarding any possible peace talks in Istanbul tomorrow. :(

But if it hits Putin hard, then so be it, it's not like he hasn't returned the favor for the past 3 years and a little over 3 months.
"Yet so it is, we see the illiterate bulk of mankind that walk the high-road of plain common sense, and are governed by the dictates of nature, for the most part easy and undisturbed. To them nothing that is familiar appears unaccountable or difficult to comprehend."

Interesting that Russia calls attacks on long range bombers that are daily used to launch attacks on civilians targets "terrorist" but then nothing that comes out of Russian propaganda is surprising.

Yep, I doubt that any peace talks, if they even go ahead, will get anywhere.

The phrase "if you can't take it, don't dish it out" comes to mind.

Here's a Tass article with fewer trigger words.

They are downplaying it, which means three things: either they are going to absorb it, and nothing changes, or they are going to play close to the vest and then use a high-profile weapon on a high-profile target. Or just bomb the hell out of Kyiv
