Donald Trump announced on Truth Social that he spoke with Russian President Vladimir Putin, but acknowledged peace with Ukraine is not on the immediate horizon.
On the call that lasted about one hour and 15 minutes, Trump disclosed they discussed the recent drone attacks by Ukraine on Russia's air bases.
Kyiv delivered a devastating blow to the Russian air force on Sunday and Putin is now plotting revenge.
'It was a good conversation, but not a conversation that will lead to immediate peace,' admitted Trump.
The president also stated that Putin told him he plans to retaliate against Ukraine after the recent attacks.
'President Putin did say, and very strongly, that he will have to respond to the recent attack on the airfields,' Trump disclosed, without details about whether he pushed back on the Russian leader

So no push back.  Weak, very weak, Trump.

There's already enough monkeys on the football screaming for Putin's blood, FFS

As long as someone has open communications with Putin, there's a better chance of finding a peaceful solution.

Diplomacy 101

Will it work WITFK, but it's worth a try, hell if it lessens the severity and or frequency of the Russian attacks it's worth it

Open communication is ALWAYS better than potentially isolating Putin totally from the West.

Great.  But Trump is not "potentially isolating Putin totally from the West."

He's behaving like his poodle and is being played.

Diplomacy is great, appeasement and surrendering another Country's sovereignty is not great.

Put more sanctions on Russia or prove he is not TACO.

The Ukraine is being used by the West as a giant money laundromat and corruption hub.  Neither Russia nor USA care about the Ukraine.
Now all of my mumblings about corruption and Lindsey Graham are being confirmed.
And furthermore if Zelenksy was really interested in peace he would be doing more than begging for defence funds still.  Putin WAS interested in peace but now I can't blame him for anything he decides to do. If Zelensky wanted peace he would let Russia keep Donbass and sign a paper. It's not like there is anything there worthwhile anymore.
Call it appeasement I call it compromise.
Zelensky hasn't shown one iota of compromise and they were even breaking the ceasefire (attempted).
Russia could have wiped them off the map by now with the amount of shells they are producing but they choose not to.

The news coming out just triggered my disgust with this whole conflict.

Graham goes over there without Congressional approval and conducts war level diplomacy among other more serious things, illegally, without State approval or oversight.

Bank account records show Senator Lindsey Graham is laundering money from the Ukraine war back into his personal bank accounts CIA Officer says it’s “significant amounts of money” being laundered back to Senator Lindsey Graham “Let me say something about Senator Graham.
There will be news coming out in the next couple of months about how he has profited financially off of money that came out of Ukraine, laundered through Latvia and made it way into his bank account. And now we’re talking significant amounts of money. Department of justice is looking at it. Those are serious allegations leveled by CIA officer, former CIA officer Larry Johnson.“

I think of Ukraine as Russia's Mexico

Operation Pavutyna continues. In yet another stunning failure by Russian special services, Ukrainian forces allegedly executed a highly effective precision strike on a Russian military train. The attack resulted in the destruction of roughly a regiment sized unit worth of equipment. The attack left the entire transport operation exposed and immobilized, with no effective resistance mounted in response. According to Russian Telegram the strike was facilitated by a covert infiltration of grain hopper cars on the train. At a critical moment, hatches on the grain containers flew open, and Ukrainian drones were deployed directly from within the gain hoppers. These drones proceeded to attack the lead locomotive disabling it causing the train to come to a complete stop and then proceeded to attack the equipment on adjacent flat cars. The unconventional method of using disguised grain hoppers to smuggle in combat drones raises serious questions about Russian operational planning and counterintelligence capabilities. Ukraine Southern Forces Command claims Russian Equipment Losses: 1x Railway Locomotive 13x Tanks 7x Artillery Systems 103x Units of Automotive and Armored Equipment 10x Fuel Tank Cars, carrying an estimated 158,000–172,000 gallons of fuel Russian Telegram claims the loss of a locomotive destroyed with tanks and "dozens of armoured vehicles" For now we wait for further details on the nature of this attack.

Your sources seem to be about Pakistan?

And from 2024?

So Putin calls Ukraine attack on military planes loaded with munitions ready to bomb Ukraine as "terrorist" attacks.

Russia responds by more terrorist attacks on civilians.

Trump is fine with his buddy doing that.

Wake up MAGA folk!

Meanwhile, Trump wrecks the Constitution, has hissy fit with Musk, threatening him if he dares to oppose him, but this all fine.

The US is an International joke.

Which is not funny.
