Looks like all the more recent arrivals are shaking up the names list, or reproduce in greater numbers, or just all name their boys Muhammad. I didn't think The UK granted that much assylum,  but I'll trust that site over Daily Mail.

I see that girls names do not show the same trend, what does that mean, that Muslims only have boys?

Looking at how the other names got more and less popular through the years, it looks like the reason for Muhammad's popularity may be a result of lack of choice from Muslim parents while there is a huge choice of non-Muslim names, so these are more spread out than the Muslim boys names.

That's how a whole lotta' people here in America refer to London ... Londonistan ... cuz' of all the foreigner Muslims that have moved in and aren't assimilating, and cuz' of all their offspring, and they aren't 'British' in their way of life.

Don't forget that there are many British Muslims and that non-Muslims may choose a Muslim name.

1 - English is my first language and around here 'odd' means just that ... odd.  It doesn't mean 'approximately' in America.

2 - I'm stating a verified fact about your country.   Muhammad is the most popular baby name.   And I"m discussing the implications of that.  You don't like people doing that and call it 'slagging off' (whatever that is) ... that's your problem.   You make opinionated comments on America and Americans all the time.  How do you like it when someone else does the same thing about your country?

3 - Foreigners isn't a dirty word.  It's an accurate description of people who aren't from America from our point of view.   And when it comes to discussing English things, I'd be the foreigner.   You've got a bias against the word for some reason.  Get over it.
