"Most Liberal Colleges" listed... But,.. why?

WOW!

I've seen online automatic orange harvesters where the "picker" has sensors that tell if the orange is ready to pick.  They only pick the ones that are ready.

Ya know the saying "learn from history" -- well this is all new.  We're entering new territory.

I think it would be wise to look forward -- not backward.

When most of the vineyards go out of business because everyone is on UBI  or having their klepto-digital 'money' turned off for wrong think or not being 'allowed' a glass of wine, I wonder if this ouroboros of using AI to kill ourselves will finally hit home.

Oh that's right, there will be private vineyards for the billionaire busybody class.

Since at least 40% of the data and answers AI gives back is false, I won't be surprised when such AI drone technology kills more grapes than it helps.
Meanwhile the previously employed workers will be busy doing what I wonder. Once the robots start building themselves.
The end game is just inhuman.

That's the main worry and it could come sooner than big tech giants put risk to the public/environment before profit. France passed legislation earlier in the year to make it legal for drones to spray 'low risk' pesticides on plants AI determined were in need - 'low risk' is an odd term to use in this context as all pesticides are basically watered down nerve agents that work via the same method (acetylcholine/acetyl-cholinesterase inhibitors).

This also means the tech to deliver chemical or biological weapons via AI is suprisingly advanced - as more and more workers are being replaced by said autonamous tech/AI, the less likely it is for people to detect rogue AI poisoning food/water sources before it's too late.
Has anyone looked into the hiring preferences of "Big" tech (or anyone) when it comes to the labelled "Liberal" or "Conservative" outlier universities... the one's who are proud of it?

Do they care?

What is proper education?

The non-indoctrinated kind.

And the fact that you don't know that says a lot.

Same essay, one paragraph later:

"A planned economy as such may be accompanied by the complete enslavement of the individual. The achievement of socialism requires the solution of some extremely difficult socio-political problems: how is it possible, in view of the far-reaching centralization of political and economic power, to prevent bureaucracy from becoming all-powerful and overweening? How can the rights of the individual be protected and therewith a democratic counterweight to the power of bureaucracy be assured?" ¹

Dr Einstein leaves these questions unanswered.

Sure he leaves them unanswered because no political system works well for everyone. What's important is that he is asking the right questions so as to promote thinking/debate for outside the box solutions. That's what these 'liberal' colleges offer, critical and creative independent thinking outside of the box of others' indoctrination/bias/hate that some would like others to be caged in.

The opinions and choices of how the college handles human rights should be what the majority of students (those that pay the college's bills) decide they want and that is all that matters and not the ramblings of a power-hungry delusional oligarch that has discriminatory tendencies/programming from a past era.
