More than 50 countries have reached out to the President to begin tariff negotiations
Veŕŕŕy Inteŕŕestink car facts.....

So how does this affect "Tariffs" imposed on American Cars in for example, The E.U. ?  Lol

search: ford cars with the most imported parts

Quote:
Ford's vehicles, while often marketed as American-made, include a significant amount of imported parts. For instance, the Ford Fusion only includes 26% North American-made parts.

Additionally, many Ford parts are manufactured overseas, with China being one of its most prominent manufacturers, housing six large Ford manufacturing plants.

The 2022 Ford F-150, which is one of the most iconic American trucks, receives 50% of its components from the U.S. and Canada, but its 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine is produced in Mexico.

Chinese Sellers On Amazon Panic After Trump's Tariff Bazooka
Quote:
President Trump announced an increase in tariffs on Chinese imports to 125% on Wednesday afternoon, following the Chinese government's move to raise tariffs on U.S. goods to 84%. So far, the Chinese Communist Party has not taken retaliatory action on the latest tariff round. These steep tariffs are poised to crush Chinese sellers that have long dominated Amazon's marketplace by flooding the U.S. with cheap junk.

Data from SmartScout shows that most of Amazon's sellers are based in China. Over the years, Chinese sellers have figured out how to cut out intermediaries and use Amazon as a direct-to-consumer marketplace for low-cost goods such as electronics, toys, household items, and fashion accessories.

China Threatens the Free World with the Ghost of Murderer Mao Zedong
Quote:
China’s increasingly shrill and desperate efforts to prove itself tough and fearless against President Donald Trump’s tariffs hit a new low on Thursday, when Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning decided to post old footage of Mao Zedong, the founder of the Chinese Communist Party – and the worst mass murderer in history.

Mao Ning’s tone-deaf decision to post 72-year-old footage of Mao declaring his determination to “fight” until we “completely triumph” against President Eisenhower illustrates how badly the Communist elite has sunk into the revisionist history pushed by the ruling Party.

No sane person on Earth, outside of the Communist elite, thinks Mao is an admirable model of leadership. Germany might as well have run some old footage of Hitler to declare its opposition to Trump’s tariffs.

Hedge Fund Manager Bill Ackman: Trump’s 90-Day Tariff Pause Was ‘Brilliantly Executed’
Quote:
President Donald Trump’s surprise decision to impose a 90-day halt on reciprocal tariffs against foreign trading partners, excluding China, was hailed by billionaire hedge fund investor Bill Ackman on Wednesday.

As one of the most reputable investors in the business world today, Ackman serves as the CEO of Pershing Square Capital Management.

He has been referred to as “Baby Buffett,” since he is known for taking a handful of large positions in his portfolio, frequently on “high-profile” consumer stocks — according to Nasdaq.

That's not surprising. He was calling for a 30 to 90 day pause on Tuesday. It makes sense to negotiate first, then implement later.

Quote:“I am advocating for a 30, 60, or 90- day pause before the tariffs are implemented tomorrow to enable negotiations to be completed without a major global economic disruption that will harm the most vulnerable companies and citizens of our country,”

China states it will impose 125% tariff on US goods entering China in retaliation to Trump imposed tariff on Chinese products entering the US.

Quote:The turmoil has extended into a wide range of assets. U.S. Treasuries, which tend to be considered a haven in times of turmoil, have lost value, which has pushed yields higher. A bond sell-off happening at the same time as declines in stocks and the U.S. dollar, has puzzled traders and analysts. Some speculation has focused on whether heavy losses in the stock market have led investors to sell their bond holdings or whether a foreign central bank is selling U.S. assets.

On Friday, the 10-year U.S. Treasury yield was above 4.4 percent, the highest since February.
