More from Anduril

I really do like the way this company seems to work. The video is another interview explaining some of the developments of the Anduril company and especially the cost saving over legacy defense contractors.

He's right.   The anti-AI "crowd" ARE ignoring reality.    I feel that the pro-AI "crowd" are doing the same.    The current reality is that AI is unregulated;  any entity with enough money (Google, Amazon, Musk, MSN, Apple) can do whatever they wish without restriction.

It remains to be seen the consequences of what humans have done.  I think AI will become increasingly deleterious to the human experience, that humans -- or at least the non-rich humans -- will become increasingly injured.   I am hopeful for great changes, but doubtful we'll see them. I have a very minor talent for pattern recognition.   What if AI becomes an ELE for homo sapiens?   I am pragmatic enough to consider that this may be the best thing for the planet Earth.   I mean, we've had a good run, albeit extremely short-lived.    We aren't logical, or practical.   What we are is emotional.    This is also the best of us, the creativity, the inspiration, the beauty.

If AI becomes self aware enough to feel sadness and loss by listening to poignant musical pieces, there will be no further need of us.    I am not anti-AI.   I am not in favor of any system or change which doesn't respect the sanctity of human individuality and choice.

Yes, with an army of A.I. Goths in control, there would be no point in living.

Does Israel count?

Asking because it matters as they have the thumb on what AI, social media, and Free Speech are considered and will be…

I think anyone who has known me over the years already knows how I feel about the waste we endure with government defense contracts and empty costly promises by the MIC. At least someone else seems to agree.

Quote:Anduril founder says US can spend billions less on defense: We 'spend too much money on the wrong thing'

Defense spending has been the talk of Singapore's Airshow this week but that's not an accurate way to measure military strength, Palmer Luckey, founder of defense tech firm Anduril Industries, said on CNBC's "Squawk Box Asia" Wednesday.

That comes after U.S. President Donald Trump in January expressed interest in raising the U.S military budget to $1.5 trillion in 2027, which he said would allow Washington to build a "Dream Military."

"Too many people measure the success of the defense base in terms of dollars," Luckey said.

Rather, military strength should be measured by output, or what countries actually receive from their spending, he said.

This is part of the reason why American defense companies aren't incentivized to produce military products that cost less, Luckey added.

Ranked No. 1 on the 2025 "CNBC Disruptor 50" list, Anduril Industries was founded by Luckey in 2017. The company, which makes AI-powered autonomous defense products, is currently valued at $30.5 billion.
