I really do like the way this company seems to work. The video is another interview explaining some of the developments of the Anduril company and especially the cost saving over legacy defense contractors.

He's right. The anti-AI "crowd" ARE ignoring reality. I feel that the pro-AI "crowd" are doing the same. The current reality is that AI is unregulated; any entity with enough money (Google, Amazon, Musk, MSN, Apple) can do whatever they wish without restriction.
It remains to be seen the consequences of what humans have done. I think AI will become increasingly deleterious to the human experience, that humans -- or at least the non-rich humans -- will become increasingly injured. I am hopeful for great changes, but doubtful we'll see them. I have a very minor talent for pattern recognition. What if AI becomes an ELE for homo sapiens? I am pragmatic enough to consider that this may be the best thing for the planet Earth. I mean, we've had a good run, albeit extremely short-lived. We aren't logical, or practical. What we are is emotional. This is also the best of us, the creativity, the inspiration, the beauty. If AI becomes self aware enough to feel sadness and loss by listening to poignant musical pieces, there will be no further need of us. I am not anti-AI. I am not in favor of any system or change which doesn't respect the sanctity of human individuality and choice.

Goths in control, there would be no point in living. Wisdom knocks quietly, always listen carefully.... and be a River flowing calmly.
I think anyone who has known me over the years already knows how I feel about the waste we endure with government defense contracts and empty costly promises by the MIC. At least someone else seems to agree.
