Nazi IG Farben's Bayer wants it to be 'legal' to poison food.

Recent developments:

The best thing to do is 'flood congressional phonelines' - it actually works.

Great news:

"Rep. Thomas Massie and Rep.  Anna Paulina Luna secured a legislative victory in April 2026 by stripping pesticide liability protections from the Farm, Food, and National Security Act of 2026.  Luna’s amendment, which passed with a bipartisan vote of 280–142, removed Sections 10205–10207 that would have shielded manufacturers like Bayer from lawsuits regarding glyphosate and prevented states from imposing stricter health warnings than those required by the EPA.
  • Luna’s Role: Introduced the amendment to remove what critics called a "liability shield" for chemical companies, celebrating it as a win for consumer health and state rights.
  • Massie’s Support: Massie praised the outcome as a "huge win" for the Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) movement and states' rights, noting the removal of special provisions for herbicides like glyphosate.
  • Opposition: House Agriculture Committee Chairman G.T. Thompson opposed the change, arguing it would create a chaotic patchwork of state labeling rules and increase costs. " (LLM)

As for the opposition...let is create chaos...from chaos comes order and hopefully a more non-poisonous way of doing things. Removing "special" protections for big billionaire cancer causing chemical corporations...bravo.

"While glyphosate was historically believed to break down quickly in the environment, recent research indicates that it can persist longer than previously thought under specific conditions:
  • Standard Breakdown: Glyphosate typically degrades via soil microbial action, with a median half-life in soil ranging from 2 to 197 days (often cited as ~47 days).
  • Persistence in Hard Water: When glyphosate complexes with trace metal ions found in hard water (such as magnesium and calcium), it can persist for up to seven years in water and 22 years in soil
  • Scientific Consensus: Regulatory agencies like the US EPA and the scientific consensus generally state that glyphosate is not likely to be carcinogenic and does not belong to the PFAS class of "forever chemicals."" (LLM)

I wrote a thread on ATS about it with pretty much that as its title,, it was on an account before my Bethegoddess account.

People always leave their car at home when they want to overdose in bushland about 30kms from their home.

Got threatened by a couple of his friends not to talk about it (one was mentioned in the ATS thread),then mention it to an enviro totally not connected with those guys and he basically told me I was insane..

During argument with him he said Roundup was safe to drink, so Im like if you  drink some I'll shoot up some and you can deal with my fat dead ass. I didnt actually say fad dead ass but hey.

He didnt want to drink any.

My point--they have more than just trolls and bots, they'll have mofos taking pictures of you thru your kitchen window while on the phone to an agitated friend who overdosed in bushland.

They have people intimidated too much to even want to discuss tthis.

And they have enviros on the payroll to "well actually" real environmental activists.

That was 2010.

Monsanto is a vile company with people who don't care about anything other than their profits.  I do my best to stay away from any of their products.

The fact that they're still allowed to operate is very concerning.
And I'm gone.... Like a crack in the past....

I used it for a few years before I actually learnt about it, as iit was always pushed as safe. It wasnt actually Roundup that first got me sus on Monsanto, it  was their GMOs... then I  learned about Rounduups toxicity.

Yes, their GMO seeds sicken me.  Imagine not being in control of your crop.  And if some seeds inadvertently gets blown away and sprouts, you're in trouble for "breach of contract".

And now Monsanto is part of the Bayer company.  And Bayer has its own history of controversy.  From giving out HIV infected blood, to pregnancy tests that ended up causing birth defects and more.

Companies hate us.
And I'm gone.... Like a crack in the past....
