Also, they worked for some time at a cannabis dispensary. I'm unfamiliar with the legality of such in their state. Their notes indicate they were concerned that heavy 'vape' usage had a damaging effect on their physical health. Marijuana can cause a dissociative effect, and in some cases psychosis. It may exacerbate effects from other drugs, for example it's often-dangerous synergy with alcohol has been noted. Wait, I mean it's "mostly harmless!" ![]() However--and this is speculation and opinion--I would suspect physician-prescribed psych drugs first and foremost. Those things are evil. Sometimes, apparently, a necessary evil, but that seems to depend on society as much as the individual. Unfortunately, medical details that might better understand the pattern of psych drugs in violent mass crime are not readily available. Edit: oops sorry if it's the drugs and not the strap-ons that were off topic.

AI suggests that those with mental health issues could be worse with excess THC usage. Then there is Kratom being used all over lately....hard to believe it is OTC.

From strong sexual urge to A-sexual -- to simply being attracted to who you are attracted to with out gender concern. As said: "All babies are born atheist" -- until they are taught a belief. Back to the shooter. Are we really going to ignore the 19 years of him trying to grasp reality before he thought he might be transgender? There has to be some kind of history for someone this mentally messed up.

Can we please leave the mention of the adult "toys" out it. I find it unnecessary at best.
Thank you. The current society is very messed up without going to the action details. I only see their decisions of gender change and embarrassment of wanting to change back as a societal problem. It might have been his mother's guidance that made him do it. It might have just been the popular thing to try at the time. Acceptance of differences is fine but encouraging it at a young age should be unacceptable until the individual fully understands the consequences. I know too much and question everything.
Does anyone know the minimum safe distance of ignorance? Did anyone ask the monkeys how much fun the barrel actually was?

The perp was 22 years old?
Robert was struggling with "reality" as a 3-year-old toddler? We don't have to exaggerate the time period to make a point...

You couldn't find a more kinder and loving church, but a shooter wouldn't stand a chance. Not in the heart of Appalachia. That reminds me of my childhood, where open carry was common, and many people rode to church in a carriage, or on horseback. Up until ten years ago, the town I grew up in had six hitching posts around town. I personally think it was a grave mistake to remove them, especially where the tourism factor is concerned. Selah.

Since this shooter was on the other side of stained glass windows, I hope your congregation has someone on the outside keeping watch.
