Mantis Overlords
#11
With all due respect fuck the mantises. If they exist I will bless them as helpers. We have evolved from gods to men to machines and now bugs are teaching us. Next is the worms

I have written it before. Repent. Before the worms, after wolfs comes dragons. You will meet them soon

Pray to the bugs for salvation

What was it, pseudoscientific crack pot? Pray to your bugs, you rejected Jesus as a man

You don't become the dominant species on your home world by being a benevolent teacher to lessor developed species. If we take the position that humans are the problem, then we ignore nature.

Our species got to be the crown of creation here on Earth by being ruthless and destructive. Reality pounded us, tempered us, made us hard and deadly so we would survive and dominate. There is no reason to believe that the Law of the Jungle doesn't apply to extra-terrestrial life forms as well.

If these off world life forms are more advanced than us, and were as aggressive and dominant as we are when they were at our level of development, they will likely be far worse now. Nature had millions of years honing us into what we are, and longer for these advanced ETs, so I doubt they'd be any less violent or deadly than us or without ill intent for lessor species like humans. Everything is game when you are at the top of the food chain.

ETA: Consider how we treat dolphins, that are highly intelligent, have a language, are playful, amorous, and kind to humans, and they are from our own planet. Yet the best we treat them is by imprisoning them in tanks and teaching them to perform for our amusement. In the wild, they are merely stealing all the fish from the fishermen and getting caught in the nets and damaging them. We have no real respect for other species, I see no reason ETs should either.

Another way to look at this is, ETs with higher technology and more knowledge of the universe aren't here because of our level of development. We don't have tech they want, we don't have knowledge they don't have, so what could they want from us? Do they want entertainment or are we tasty to them? My only conclusion is they want something and are here to exploit us and our world.

I thought the go to insect gods were the cockroaches. I must admit though, I do like how the female mantis eats off the male mantis's head during mating and how this stimulates the male to copulate more. Very common for the dominate female predator insect to kill and eat the smaller and less aggressive male during sex.

I find this statement fascinating, in that, astrophysicists are now confused as to the younger age of galaxies closer to the alleged big bang beginning of the universe. In other words, these galaxies could not have formed in the way they are without being older. So the non-linear shaped glob, in my mind, could explain the time dilation and/or gravitational energy differentials problems.

They have been for a long time.
Take Southern Praying Mantis Kung Fu... born from observing the mantis in stillness and strike. It’s been passed down for over 400 years... maybe longer.

In Kung Fu: The mantis is a predator with calm readiness...
The Alien Mantis Overlords: a symbol of intelligence that watches, and acts only when necessary.

Strange how much they have in common..
Kung Fu master once said:  The mantis does not show strength... it shows intent. That is enough.

Incredibly anthrocentric statement. Do you think the human way is the only way?

How these mantis beings evolved and became dominant doesn't preclude them from being benevolent teachers to us.

If, like I hypothesized, they have literally helped engineer and educate us as a species, why would they be adversarial? Wouldn't they just wipe us out instantly?

Are you aggressive, dominant, and tyrannical to your pets or children or neighbors?

We have a peaceful relationship. But indeed there are other bad actors out there.

Also how many abduction/ contactee stories make you believe these mantis beings are here to harm us? I'd say most stories paint them in either a neutral or benevolent light.

And in many species the female dies after her reproducing years.

The exception of course being humans beings.

Although I do get my head bitten off from time to time

I'm not saying the human way but nature's way. If I go against my natural instincts by not dominating and exploiting, I will become the victim getting used, even become the prey for even lessor species that are no longer a great threat to Homo Sapiens.

I never said I believed any abduction or contact stories and disregard these as evidence of anything regardless of their validity. As a hypothetical scenario, I choose to believe in a malevolent intention behind ET visits, not some new age BS about nice aliens here to teach us.
