I realize that if people took the time to read the full article, which I would bet most won't, your quote from the article is very misleading. Would probably be best to add the rest of Trump's comments from the interview, such as this

"I didn't know him well, but when I ran for office, he was very hostile," he added.
 
Asked if that meant he was not inclined to pardon Combs, Mr Trump said: "I would say so, yeah."

Okay straight up, if people can't see the biases in the media now, they never will. The media call him a domestic abuser and not a conspirator or serial grapist and mass blackmailer.
