A Simple Question...

I suggest the likes of a lot of Social Media models now tick the pay me box.

Being from Scotland, water also springs to mind.

Public water used to be provided by local authorities or Scottish Water, and there was no direct charge.

Any other "things" that spring to mind?
"Yet so it is, we see the illiterate bulk of mankind that walk the high-road of plain common sense, and are governed by the dictates of nature, for the most part easy and undisturbed. To them nothing that is familiar appears unaccountable or difficult to comprehend."

Air and water for tires.

Yes — I know some places are still free — it’s just the first thing that came to mind.

Although much less flexible and on a fixed schedule...

Television entertainment and news used to be something you didn't "pay" for to experience.

And many doctors actually called upon the patient to render services... rather than the 'cluster' model.

Don't let them rip you off.  You don't actually need to water your tires.

I can't remember a thing. Smile

In fact, it's the opposite, as I used to pay for medical appointments and tests/exams/whatever that now are free because I'm a diabetic, but that's cheating. Tongue
