Thank goodness many members here can look at both sides and find the truth, even some top Republican politicians and one member of the FCC stepped outside that box when Trump went too far, as is the case with Kimmel.

The innuendo was Kimmel had to be fired to get a Disney deal merger through. Yet, Kimmel was never fired. The narrative fell apart like Russia Trump collusion.

They get most of their viewership from clips posted to YouTube and other social media, which are promoted and inserted in the feeds of everyone who might be "interested" in them, subscribers or not. This is, of course, not political advocacy and no FEC rules apply. Because they're "funny"!

Broadcast TV is slowly dying and has been replaced by streaming which have massive numbers in comparison.  On YouTube, Kimmel’s channel has more than 20 million subscribers, his three most recent videos have all had more than 3 million views, suggesting a far larger audience than on TV.

Certain older members only looked at Kimmels ratings rather than the bigger picture and broadcast TV as a whole.

In March 2025, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) identified a backlog of more than 65,000 reports regarding children who came across the border unaccompanied that were ignored during the Biden administration.
Since discovering this, HHS stood up a triage center and modernized outdated software systems to triage and action all reports. As of July 24, 2025, more than 59,000 of the backlogged reports have been analyzed and processed, resulting in more than 4,000 investigative leads, including fraud, human trafficking, and other criminal activity.

Misinformation is free speech when the left do it - and they do it orders of magnitude more than anyone else.
When anyone else does it, it needs to be policed and censored, and when it is the left cheer it on.

We literally have Democrats in Govt calling for censorship of their political rivals and the executive branch, when under democrat control, caught red handed colluding with social media to ban speech that questions their policies - yet as soon as the FCC chair says that Kimmel should be taken off air, there is a huge media storm.

The hypocrisy is stunning.

He lied and said the shooter was MAGA and that MAGA was desperate to cover it up.
The partisan lemmings applauded the lie because they liked the sound of it.
Disney suspended him because his ratings suck and he lied at a sensitive time.
DISNEY .. not Trump.
Trump mouths off, acts the buffoon and bloviates, but he didn't do it.  Disney did.
If Kimmels ratings had been good he wouldn't have been suspended.

Sometimes it seems like our international enemies thought we would have more strife with Obama. When we didn't, they have doubled or tripled thier efforts, and to keep the agitation going, just that 80 million in embezzled aid "allegedly" could keep Antifa financed for years. There was no one stopping the flow of money for years

Foreign countries have always tried to subvert Uncle Sam, and Trump is the lightning rod; if the left had just left  Trump alone in his first term, he might have had a different trajectory. 

For him to get a 2nd term with a REPUBLICAN majority and the groundswell of support and the DNC discombulation  looks promising for the elephants heading into the midterms

Regardless, we are here on this timeline now, and the volume needs to be turned down and the temperature lowered.

It's as if, starting with the Vegas shooting, ever since, it's been one thing after another.
