Jimmy Kimmel pulled from the air over false comment about Kirk murder

The FBI aren't 'guessing' when they investigate and come to a conclusion based on the evidence.

Wordsmithing to further your left wing cause .... caught again.   Lol

What's the title of this thread again? Oh right.

If Rosie O'Donnell and Ted Cruz can agree on this being a violation of free speech, then I really don't know how else to point out your confirmation bias.

The pushback against Trump is bipartisan and even Ted Cruz using mafioso language should give you a clue.

Trump accidently posts text to Pam Bondi to go after his political foes, comedians, and news media that makes his ego hurt. This is what your President's priority is, not bringing down food and gas prices or stopping wars.

My postings, in what I feel is evidence of Trump's revenge on those he feels are against him and who hurt his ego, I am beginning to feel as being futile with certain members here because his propaganda has been 'baked into your minds' and poke it with a fork because it's done, and I'm done poking it with a fork.

I am looking at the backlash of the FCC's actions, which I believe was done for Trump's benefit, from all sides and if that doesn't give you a clue what side of the coin the people are on, then, again, this discussion is a futile endeavour.

No it's not a feeling they are against him they are very vocal about being against him even if he had the cure for cancer and could resurrect the dead. All three of those people committed criminal acts to go after him they committed actual crimes and they need to held accountable just like anyone else. You may believe the FCC did it for Trump but reality is they did because they had the legal right and duty too.

Doesn't make them right.
(and both are rather kooky).

This is a MARKET decision.   A failing TV show with a host that LIED and said he was going to double down on the LIE ... a lie that splits the country ...

Not sure what part of MONEY MONEY MONEY you don't get.   It's probably your unrelenting quest for confirmation bias of your left wing stand on everything that is getting in the way of understanding this .... FAILED TV SHOW and LIAR HOST = BAD FOR BUSINESS.

How is Kimmel passing off misinformation as a statement then wanting to double down on it and opening his employer (who is paying the cost of his show) up to liable suits getting fired a violation of his free speech?  When Kimmel is free to use his own time and money on various platforms and media to keep making his case if he could actually provide evidence?

This is what they do, and only what they do.

Equating "what the FBI presents as a reasonable interpretation" with "established fact-based truth".

That's not the slam-dunk for objectivity that you seem to think it is.

The facts the FBI uncovered and their determination of them are not a 'guess'.

Anyone who says that the shooter was MAGA is lying.  Period.

MAGA wouldn't shoot the golden boy of MAGA.    Doesn't work that way.

Which has what to do with affiliates not wanting to air his show and took action to not air Kimmel’s show.  Why would Disney want to keep paying someone that affiliates don’t want to broadcast over misinformation, only has about 150,000 viewers a night, and has been losing ratings for years?

They didn't cancel Jimmy Kimmel ABC did.

"FCC Chairman Brendan Carr said Thursday that Kimmel “misled” the American public with his remarks and implied ABC could face regulatory consequences for airing “misleading content.”"

Like how Howard Stern used to get.

FCC and the FCC Chairman has no say in programming content. What don't you understand about that?

I'd actually like to see them open the legal door of misleading content being "not in the public interest", and therefore within the obligatory remit of the FCC to regulate.

It would make for fun possible lawsuits regarding network decisions to unquestioningly cover political press conferences.
