Jimmy Kimmel pulled from the air over false comment about Kirk murder

Nope.  Take a look at the top of the thread.   The title, and therefore the topic, is "Jimmy Kimmel pulled from the air over false comment about Kirk murder'.    Kimmel lied.  He got canned.   It's just that simple.

I am there every week.
The city has a problem with crime and a problem with filth in many areas.
Quote:Overall recorded crime has increased by 31.5 % in the Metropolitan Police area of London in the last 10 years, with violent crime increasing by 40%, according to official crime data.

May I suggest you move on to a new irrational false narrative?

It's not secret that Trump wants certain people silenced

it comes straight from his own mouth

Nope, they are saying that Trump put pressure on the execs., where the execs said that Kimmel did not go overboard (that's his usual schtick). Now they are asking back with conditions, why? Just end his contract and let him walk. It's not that simple, perhaps you are that simple.

Lefties thinking they can somehow punish conservatives by boycotting ABC and Disney is a thousand times funnier than anything Jimmy Kimmel ever said on his show. LoL

If that were the case the Oval Office would be empty all the time.

He can be 25th amendmented for not being up for it mentally.
But that's a high bar to jump ... and if they didn't get it done for
Biden who was clearly mentally incapacitated, they won't get it for Trump.
And that's different than telling lies.

It depends if the lie is connected to a serious offense

But to rationalize "all politicians lie" as if there's nothing that can be done about it except through voting is wrong

Also this thread is really about the violation of someone's freedom of speech, which we believe Trump is working very hard to take away because...feelings.

Seems you are.

Just watched a whole montage of leading leftists and politicians crying about free speech - something they did not care about when for years conservatives were being cancelled in their 1000s off social media and people like Rosanne Barr were being cancelled from their shows.

Back on ATS, I remember you yourself telling me that the likes of X (twitter at the time) was a private company so there was no issue with censorship there.

All of a sudden Disney are not allowed to make a firing decision without it being a huge threat to democracy.
The hypocrisy is stunning and fully expected from the left.   I remember telling you that you should be careful about cheering on censorship at the time because the tide may turn - and so it has.

Now you are crying about Trump.

Only your left wing indoctrination rags are saying that.
They are just as bad as the right wing ones that you hate.
But your bias doesn't allow for clear thinking now does it?

Kimmels ratings are in the cellar.
His contract is up.
He has been losing tens of millions of $$ every year.
He blatantly lied TWICE and said he'd do it again the next night.
The market backed out of airing the show.
The bosses pulled the plug on a show that was losing money, losing viewers, and was blatantly LYING.

MONEY ... it's all about  MONEY.
If Trump pressured Disney, Disney would have ignored it if the show was a money maker.
It isn't.   It's a liability.   So they pulled the plug.

This time the censorship is designed to give Trump total authoritarian power and remember he said 'you will never have to vote again'?

I am ringing the warning bells about Trump and you and others here still can't hear them.

If Trump lies ... what exactly can be done about it?    He lies all the time.   ALL politicians lie all the time.  He is no different.   He can't get kicked out for simply lying (unless it's attached to a felony type thing).   There is nothing that can be done about his daily lies.  He can't be fired.  He's elected.   It's different than with a corporation like Disney that can fire someone for losing money and telling lies.
