I think it's really weird that you don't understand the basics of a talk show host signs a contract and works for a corporation, and if he does anything to hurt the brand then the corporation can get rid of him.

A politician, on the other hand, can't be fired for lying.

Sure.   Absolutely.   That's the political version of 'firing' a politician.
But Trump isn't running for office again.   So he really can't be fired for lying.
He can be impeached for certain things.  But that doesn't fire him either.
He can get kicked out for the 25th Amendment ... but that's not for lying.
and that's a hard level to get proof of and hard to make happen.
The only real thing is not to vote for them.

Agreed that Trump should ignore them.   But Trump isn't the one that got Kimmel fired.  Kimmel did that on his own.

Again, weird that you don't understand the basics of a person working for a corporation getting fired for being a liability versus an elected official not being able to be fired for lying.

Trump lies.   All politicians lie.  You can't fire them except not to vote for them.   That's different from someone like Kimmel being a liability .. with ratings that are tanking and with his contract up and with him telling flat out lies that hurt the country.
