Carlin knew how deranged the Liberals were and are.
Your usual tunnel vision.
No surprise.

How many employees do you think the Jimmy Kimmel show supported?
How many people behind the scenes are now unemployed?
Takes a lot of people to put on a production of any kind.
Thanks Trump.

President Trump didn't fire him, ABC did. He should have had a better show if he cared about the employees the show supported, just like Colbert.

Soon after the news went public, reactions started coming in, with plenty of comedians, actors and journalists chiming in not to defend what the host said, but to defend his right to say it. - BEN STILLER: "This isn't right."
- MIKE BIRBIGLIA: "I've spent a lot of time in public + private defending comedians i don't agree with. If you're a comedian + you don't call out the insanity of pulling kimmel off the air - don't bother spouting off about free speech anymore."
- WANDA SYKES: "I'm in a full face of make-up, because I was supposed to go over and have a chat with my friend Jimmy Kimmel on his show, but as you have heard by now, the Jimmy Kimmel show has been pulled indefinitely, abruptly, because of complaints from the Trump Administration. So let's see. He didn't end the Ukraine war or solve Gaza within his first week. But he did end free speech within his first year. Hey, for those of you who pray, now's the time to do it. Love you, Jimmy.
- DON LEMON: "The same group of people who complained about, 'Everything is too woke. Comedians can't say anything anymore. They're killing comedy.' The folks who are complaining about killing comedy are killing comedy."
- CHRISTIE BRINKLEY: The laughter they provide us is as important as the air we breath! And they are taking another one of them off the air tonight! WE MUST PROTECT their and OUR 1st Amendment RIGHTS!!!!
- MISHA COLLINS: "I’m canceling my @disneyplus subscription 'Indefinitely.'"
The SAG-AFTRA union, which just elected The Goonies and Stranger Things vet Sean Astin as its new President, shared the following statement:
Quote:SAG-AFTRA condemns the suspension of Jimmy Kimmel Live! Our society depends on freedom of expression. Suppression of free speech and retaliation for speaking out on significant issues of public concern run counter to the fundamental rights we all rely on. Democracy thrives when diverse points of view are expressed. The decision to suspend airing Jimmy Kimmel Live! is the type of suppression and retaliation that endangers everyone’s freedoms.
TRUMP
“Great news for America: The ratings challenged Jimmy Kimmel Show is CANCELLED,” Trump posted on Truth Social. “Congratulations to ABC for finally having the courage to do what had to be done. Kimmel has ZERO talent, and worse ratings than even Colbert, if that’s possible. That leaves Jimmy and Seth, two total losers, on Fake News NBC. Their ratings are also horrible. Do it NBC!!! President DJT”

They'd be dragging him off in handcuffs.
Not really.
Dave Chappelle is funnier than ever.
Like Carlin, he’s too big to cancel.

Thanks Trump.
Do you blame Trump for potty accidents too?
Those union production employees will either be assigned a new show or they’ll be paid until they do.
Like Jimmy, they won’t miss a meal.

It's nothing to do with President Trump. It's money and ratings, pure and simple. If that host creates millions a year in losses, 10's of points in ratings, they need to go. It's math.

You've heard of "Long Arm of the Law"?
Brandan Carr -- head of the FCC
In June 2017, President Donald Trump nominated Carr to serve as a commissioner of the FCC. As commissioner, Carr initially focused on networks, though he began criticizing social media companies and China over perceived authoritarian policies later in his first term. He was involved in Project 2025 and wrote a section of The Heritage Foundation's Mandate for Leadership (2023).
In November 2024, president-elect Donald Trump named Carr as his chair of the FCC. He took office following Trump's second inauguration.
