Kimmel lied and was smug about it.
His bosses canned him.
It's just that simple.

There were even quite a few here that were celebrating it

HMMMM, wonder what's different about this......oh wait I know

Are you fucking seriously comparing a comedian that just won some award to a pandemic?
OMG that dude said something bad. Well guess what buttercup, that dude that that comedian said something bad about did say some nasty shit. Much worse than a guy that makes fun of people like you on the daily.
Jesus Christ man.

Funny you mention that.
Actually I'll just keep this in my back pocket for later.

Calm down there snowflake, your reeeee is showing

How is his freedom of speech any different than someone's freedom of speech that lost their job for saying something "wrong" during covid?  Or we could go a step further and look at Gina Carano being fired from the Mandalorian series for political views, James Woods blacklisted from Hollywood for a time for being an outspoken conservative, Zachary Levi being backlisted for stating he was a Trump supporter. We could go on all day.

Just because the speech he used was different than what you agree with, does not make it nasty or an excuse to kill him.

Do you believe that people have the right to celebrate the political assassination of someone?

So funny they’re still repeating the lie that Charlie said nasty shit.
They still haven’t given one in context example of it.

Also this….

§ 73.1217 Broadcast hoaxes.

(a) No licensee or permittee of any broadcast station shall broadcast false information concerning a crime or a catastrophe if:

(1) The licensee knows this information is false;

(2) It is foreseeable that broadcast of the information will cause substantial public harm, and

(3) Broadcast of the information does in fact directly cause substantial public harm.

(b) Any programming accompanied by a disclaimer will be presumed not to pose foreseeable harm if the disclaimer clearly characterizes the program as a fiction and is presented in a way that is reasonable under the circumstances.

© For purposes of this rule, “public harm” must begin immediately, and cause direct and actual damage to property or to the health or safety of the general public, or diversion of law enforcement or other public health and safety authorities from their duties. The public harm will be deemed foreseeable if the licensee could expect with a significant degree of certainty that public harm would occur. A “crime” is any act or omission that makes the offender subject to criminal punishment by law. A “catastrophe” is a disaster or imminent disaster involving violent or sudden event affecting the public.

Kimmels show was expensive and had garbage ratings so it looks more like ABC taking advantage of the timing to drop that crappy show.

He is part of the problem in this country.
This is called CONSEQUENCES OF TELLING LIES.

Oh for crying out loud!
Kimmel is a comedian.
He has no obligation to stick with the official Presidential diktat.

Just like government operatives have "no obligation to be honest with media" - Corey Lewandowsky

Quote:While being questioned by Barry Berke, a lawyer for the Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee, Lewandowski was shown a video of the interview. He said the clip “can be interpreted any way you’d like.”

“I have no obligation to be honest with the media,” he told the panel.

It is not a crime to lie on television, but it is illegal to lie or omit information during an interview with federal agents as part of a criminal investigation. Lewandowski sought to clarify that he had not lied to Mueller’s investigators.

“So you’re admitting that on national television you were lying there?” Berke asked.

“What I’m saying is, they have been inaccurate on many occasions and perhaps I was inaccurate that time,” Lewandowski replied.

Lewandowski: ‘I have no obligation to be honest with the media’

And the consequences for Lewandowski were:
1) Senior advisor for Trump 2024 campaign
2) Political commentator for One America News Network (OANN) and Fox News.

Actually, I have a theory that what really got Trump's goat was the part that the audience laughed at:

WARNING: MY MEMORY IS HAZY. THIS TRANSCRIPT MAY BE INACCURATE:

So Kimmel asks "And how broken up was Trump?"

Shows a clip of a reporter asking how Trump was holding up after 1 1/2 days.

Trump says "Oh I'm okay. Look! They're building the ballroom. For hundreds of years the Americans have wanted this ballroom; ever since the Patriots captured it from the British along with the air ports."

Laughter.
There's a reason you separate military and the police. One fights the enemies of the state, the other serves and protects the people. When the military becomes both, then the enemies of the state tend to become the people. - Commander William Adama

He isn't paid to lie and lie.
So you think that his corporation should pay his salary ... for what?
To tell lies to incite the country and make things worse here?
What he said wasn't funny and it wasn't comic.   It was just flat out lies.
No ... the corporation is under no obligation to pay for his partisan schtick of lies.

Telling the truth isn't 'sticking with the official Presidential diktat'.
It's simply telling the truth.    And he didn't.

Kimmel lied.   And was smug about it.   The lemmings in the studio clapped.
But his bosses were not amused at having to pay big money for absurd lies.
So they canned him.   And rightfully so.

The left has become too complacent in using the big lie.

Can you imagine George Carlin today?

They'd be dragging him off in handcuffs.

The Liberals would try to do that to him for sure.

Carlin knew how deranged the Liberals were and are.
