You asked.   I answered.
If you didn't want to hear the answer, don't ask the question.
You are too busy complaining about what is going on in America to see what is happening in your own country.
That's 'bloody what'.
Asked and answered.

That goes for America, Canada, England, Germany, Italy, Russia, etc etc.
They ALL lie.   Every last stink'n one of them.

The problem is that you cant' do anything about them lying except not to vote for them.
You can't kick a politician out of office for just telling lies.
They are ELECTED.  That's different than being HIRED.

But people who work for a company and lie ... that you CAN do something about.
They can be fired.

Kimmels show was tanking.  The ratings were crap.  He was losing tens of millions every year.
If his show was doing well and he was making money, then Disney would have left him in
no matter that he was a stink'n liar.    But since he was a liability financially and socially,
they got rid of him.

Money, money, money.   It's all about money.

Kimmel is irrelevant

I don't know anyone who watches cable anymore

I think the outrage about Kimmel's lies is a little over the top when the simple solution is 'don't watch'

But when it comes to government corruption, we can't just 'not watch'

Their lies and criminality affect all of our lives every day

You'd think there'd be just as much if not more outrage

Maybe they can't be 'fired' in the traditional sense, but they can be exposed

Speaks volumes.

Simple fact the thread should have ended on.  But now it’s onto Muslim names?

You can’t make this stuff up.

The title of the thread was all that was needed…

Again.  The affiliates started pulling the episode because Kimmel lied and don’t want to be liable.  Do you understand the difference between affiliates and viewers.  Ratings vs lawsuits and liable?

Also this thread is really about the violation of someone's freedom of speech, which we believe Trump is working very hard to take away because...feelings.
FFS let me spell this out for you.    Jimmy Kimmel has just as much free speech as anyone else, that’s does not guarantee that someone has to give him a platform for his “free speech”.   So stop with the free speech gaslighting, you’re sounding ummm silly.  No one took away his free speech.

From the FCC
“This FCC does not have the authority, the ability, or the constitutional right to police content or punish broadcasters for speech the government dislikes. If it were to take the unprecedented step of trying to revoke broadcast licenses, which are held by local stations rather than national networks, it would run headlong into the First Amendment and fail in court on both the facts and the law. But even the threat to revoke a license is no small matter.”
Apparently I’m in cult now, someone here told me so.

The problem is Kimmel thinks it's true and won't apologize.

Without a proper court trial to determine the facts, there are no real facts, just speculation.

Kimmel is doing what everyone else is doing, speculating and giving an subjective opinion, or conspiracy theory.

Let me spell it out for you.

Kimmel recently stated in a news article, I read, that his contract allows him free speech or artistic freedom.

So just the fact that ABC is asking him to come back with conditions, tells us that they are running scared of a potential lawsuit because he could use involuntary termination as the reason (connected to constructive dismissal).

If he believed what he said to be true, then he did not lie. Since there are no facts laid out from a court trial, the facts do not exist yet.
