It's Time My Story Needs To Be Heard [Redux]

Thanks! Sorry if I'm slow. I am new here, and haven't had a fringe discussion in many years!

Have not really spoken about it because it's kind of dumb and weird.  It also wasn't a great time or place and allot of strange things was happening.

I was attacked by an orb...it pinned me down and did something to one of my eyes and it hurt allot.  I'm sure that "angel" was involved.

Isn't it odd?  I truly want to share in this thread... but feel compelled to abstain...

Some of what I'm hearing is so familiar to me that much of what I have to share would seem simply echoes of your accounts.  Certainly different, but kin.

I'm unclear on the considered significance of the name thing... but it struck me as odd that it should come up.

I recall being referred to by a title once... not a name... I will not share it... I still don't 'get it' or 'why.'

The ability to 'make them back off' and 'startling them' resonates with me...

This is confoundingly interesting to me.

Not my normal diet of attempts at dispassionate analysis, and sincere curiosity.

If I were to venture a guess, I'd say that altered states of consciousness is the only way we can interact.

While alert and awake, we rely on our intellect and rationale, probably even to the point where we are blocking out a lot of information and communication unintentionally.

We approach a threshold to something else when we sleep, dream, pray, meditate, etc. Even things like music and sports have been psychologically referred to as entering 'the zone.'

We are more open to possibilities in these altered states.

Interesting! I have never seen an orb myself but from what I've read they seem to operate in a similar capacity to some of the entities I've seen or dealt with.

Also you don't have to be shy around me. As long as you're honest I will always listen faithfully. But of course, only when and if you choose!

I often doubt myself and my experiences and wonder just when I'll finally lose it. I'm still standing though.

Honestly, I would prefer to hear other peoples' stories because it assures me I'm not the only one. It helps to have others verify and corroborate, or even challenge my own beliefs.

Isn't that why we're here?

But I totally get why people remain silent. It took me a very long time to be comfortable and embrace the experiences I have.

Absolutely on the altered states of consciousness. I misspoke earlier, I have seen them on mushrooms, as well. As I did with the insomnia, I tell them they aren’t welcome. There’s something about them ‘having the control’ to visit us. I find it unsettling. And if they really do morph into different appearances — why look like a fucking grey?

BTW, not sure if you’re aware, but we can talk about psychedelics here. We can also cuss.  Beer

I've noticed the rules are a little more sensible here.

Would you believe I've never tried psychedelics? Psychotropics, yes.

But most of my experiences described in the OP were before I ever had a freaking Heineken.

I am very interested to try, but the opportunity hasn't come up, and I don't actively seek psychedelics.

As for the scary imagery? Eh, I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but I agree the sagging grays are grotesque. Recall though that I mentioned they reminded me more of myself when I was very sickly.

Perhaps they are simply lower selfs. Honestly I do not know!

I do have some ideas about what it all means, but there are some tidbits even I'm not willing to share at this moment.

My advice? It's all what you make it. You get out of it exactly what you put in. If you're entering an altered state with plenty of muck in the pond you're going to have a bad time.

If you're in the right frame of mind, I've had nothing but supremely positive experiences.

Interesting how almost everyone in this thread is scared to divulge more. And I know exactly why. When we are open about talking about it, it tends to invite them. I almost wrote a thread about my experience 8 months ago — but I was worried it would produce more experiences. They’ve got us……

I strongly recommend psychedelics ONLY in controlled environments. I rarely do them with other people anymore, as I turn into a psychiatrist every damn time. Always helping people work through their shit. All my experiences are solo these days. However, I do not recommend that for firsties.

My concern for holding onto a few cards is more because I don't think anybody else is ready for it.

What I want to share will absolutely crush some egos, or else result in massive ridicule. I can handle people ridiculing me, and I can handle people dismissing my ideas.

But some things are meant to be understood and experienced personally and won't translate as well in this discussion. Let me put it this way, I don't believe everybody has a frame of reference to pick up what I want to put down.

Think ego death, death of individuality. Until you experience certain things for yourself, it's just whistling in the wind.

I'm not trying to be evasive or mysterious. But such a conversation begins with "forget everything you think you know."

This is a leap that not everybody can really make at present.

Try us. People are pretty open here.  Someone who's mind is made up won't change it and who cares what they say.  Others like myself seeks answers.
