So did I, definitely affected my wife and girlfriends over the years, LOL, one of them filmed me because she thought I was dying... and it did indeed look like I was dying, like a big catfish out of water.
CPAP did help, but I did better with the full face than the nose and mouthpiece. I could never break from taking it off at some point during the night. After a heavy night, I had tremendous headaches, and my oxygen saturation reading was much lower than normal
But I had surgery and had to sleep on my stomach and got used to sleeping that way, and mine has backed off considerably.
I still take a Zyrtec daily and have a saline spray. I start by lying on my stomach and bring up my knees like a damn infant in it's crib, but it feels so good on my back and neck and i can even put my face down and breath well with my forehead on a pillow, pop in the earbuds Im out I guess it keeps my airways open. I don;t stay that way for long but I seem to get into a deeper sleep that I never get when I have an apnea attack.

sounds...terrible....try one of those lymph node draining massages, get a nice face massage also, have something ready to spit in. Take your other half with with.
Something ridiculous you could do also is the monroe tapes and record yourself in the meditations. A couple of reasons: - Your body will fall asleep but your mind stays alert, you will experience what happens to your body but with dissociation (from body not feelings those will run 100%). The recording will show what actually happened. If you start drifting or run out of "energy" your not breathing, you will learn to catch it
- You will be taking control of autonyms bodily functions and retraining them
- There is tension in your face that you do not know about.
- Your sinuses will clear and your chest will open up by allot (if your an athlete probably not, you good) . Your chest will open up more over days and weeks.
- Pressure and where blood flows will change during meditation
- Blood will flow towards extremities with correct breathing (pranayama, won't learn this in the tapes)
- helps with inflammation and infection and you can even learn to direct it (sounds impossible i know, but nope just hard work and time)
pray before doing the tapes and you don't have to follow all the instructions
you don't think about breathing the whole time..you actually have to stop focusing on it and that is easy because you know, just your normal state, but first you must hyper focus

I sleep 4hours at night, doesn't really matter what time. If go to bed at 10 I wake up at 2. I also sleep 1-2 hours during the day if there is chance (no set time really), sometimes I will switch the cycle.

Did you know there was something called "Second Sleep"
Second sleep," also known as biphasic sleep, refers to a historical practice of sleeping in two distinct phases, separated by a period of wakefulness, typically lasting an hour or two. This pattern was common before the Industrial Revolution and the widespread adoption of artificial lighting. During the waking period, people might engage in activities like prayer, reflection, writing, or socializing.

I usually can only sleep five and a half to six and a half hours a night. Most times I do not take a nap either. but about once a week I will sleep maybe eight to nine hours one night, that is my best pattern.
If I sleep eight hours every day, I don't seem to have any drive to do anything. I tried that when they started saying everyone needs like eight hours of sleep a day......It sucked.
I can go with four hours a night for a few days, but that requires me drinking lots more coffee to be able to maintain good cognition.

All true things I practiced this for a while. The matrix is real on so many levels, even sleep is dictated by the system

One of the best inventions man has ever come up with is the "snooze" button for an alarm clock.
In and out of the silent realms,
No shock, no jolt, just me at the helm,
As I slumber to wonder and ponder and more,
In the halfworld I flow which I really adore,
And given the chance in that snoozing land,
I remind myself of this luxury grand,
And rise to a song that is stuck in my head,
That I sing when I finally rise out of bed.
I use a little Ben alarm clock I got when I was a kid for Christmas. I thought it was new, I got it from my parents in about sixty two when I was around seven, but from the numbers on it it appears it was actually made a year after I was born..in fifty six. I wound that clock almost every day for like fifty five years, only had it put away for about seven years or so, because the alarm didn't always go off, but I took it apart and cleaned it and it's been working great again for about the last five or six years. The only problem with it is that the radium on the hands and numbers is getting to dim to see it at night very well.
Never cared for those radio alarms, they don't wake me up.
That little Ben is loud, when it rings, you are wide awake instantly. No need for a snooze button, but it may give you a heart attack.

You could get some tiny TRITIUM vials that are super glowing cool and stick them on the hands.
Just an idea.

Funny you mention face massage, saw a vid on the internet that's how I can keep my sinuses clear, just a little vapor rub and massage face from top to bottom. But Im not a go-to spa for a massage kind of guy anyway
I only occasionally will have an apnea episode now, cause I sleep mostly on my stomach, and whatever was affecting my sinuses for decades has also abated, but Ive quit a lot of vices and take things like oregano, blackseed, turmeric, and garlic that cut down on infections and inflammation.
Im still an insomniac, but when I finally sleep these last 12-18 months, it's better than most of my adult life. Like last night slept from 1:30 -6 and I feel great. I was getting up 3-4 times in that same time frame for various reasons for years.
As Ive said elsewhere, that 1/4 gummy knocks the edge off for me, so whatever irritation or bodily function was waking me has settled down too

I too 'drowse' in the state which you described and it's a pleasure now and of which I was not able to access while young and working full-time and doing everything else life required.
My new android phone allows me to wake up to music of my choice, so when I rarely have to use it, I am awoken to great chillin' tunes that I want to stay awake and listen to.
I remember those working days where my alarm would blare and jolt me awake... yes, truly uncivilized as is getting up too early in the morning, especially for pre-teen and teenagers when studies prove that their wake up clocks run on different healthier times for them.
Whatever happened to the notion of a 4-day work week and flexible working hours? We haven't progressed very far for improving the working person's life.
My time and freedom that was hard won
When trod upon by others', I have to say "be gone"
They all want me to join their early rat race rush
I inform that my morning is filled with peace and hush
After leisurely greeting the early day
I am then ready to face the societal fray
But usually choose to stay away.

I actually have a small vial of radium 226 for that purpose. I would need some special phosphorous containing paint to mix it in though, don't know where I could get that. My stepfather worked on clocks a lot. That is where I got the 226 from and I also have a lot of watch repair tools...those are for my stepbrother, he has not been around to pick them up. There is probably enough radium to do a pile of clocks. I didn't even know it was in there, till I bought a Geiger counter from some government site on GSA for thirty bucks. Half the basement was active just from the cloths he used to wipe paint from something. I tossed those out. and washed the outside of the jar pretty good, just mild radiation.
If I ever misplace that jar, I can use it's tracking device I bought from GSA.
The radium was in the kit that I am supposed to give to my stepbrother, but I am not going to give that to him and I already told him the big jar of mercury and the radium were not going to him hears ago. He said I could sell the tools, but I really do not know anyone who would buy the lot. If I knew the names of all the tools and felt ambitious, I suppose I could put them on marketplace...but I doubt if they would get even a fair price on there.
