He's talking about deploying a new weapon/defence system.
Are there treaties involved that Denmark has signed to that would not permit them, unless they were on sovereign US soil?
No one is going into detail on this. ? From what I can figure, Trump doesn't trust NATO and especially Denmark.
Not really too hard to see why.
NATO is rotting from within. Many of its members no longer have the values in common with us that we started with.
He might think that without sovereignty they might take the antimissile sites back - or at least try to be involved in any decision to use them.

I thought it might be something about space-based weapons.

No you didn't, Just normal people who've had enough of Trump 'tards making poor excuses for a scumbag trying to turn NATO into an enemy because his wittle feelings were hurt by those nasty men, who wouldn't give him Greenland.
Stinging defeats exposed Trump as 'weak'
Quote:Trump abandoned his bombastic threats to seize Greenland through military force or crippling tariffs after broad pushback, particularly from Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney's fiery Davos speech. The president's eye-popping retreat left him with nothing — the NATO access he claimed as a victory already existed under current agreements, the legal experts said.

I understand and can see your points about what happened in Davos. Other people don't.
I've had enough of many things in global politics, but experience and maturity taught me to not take it too far. Some people take it to the point of derangement where it negatively effects their ability to bring others along, not to mention their personal health. We have many public examples in the celebrity sphere.

It's a safe bet to suggest Trump certainly was not anywhere near the front line.
Trump should apologise, that's what real men do when they make that sort of faux pas.
He won't through, he will simply double down and put the other foot in the mouth.

I suppose so and imagine the bruising would be rather extreme.
He doesn't seem to think any of the diabolical things he says are wrong.
Just another distraction all the same.

Seems to me that the idea of the US acquiring Greenland doesn't meet the bar of "diabolical."
Trump's not the first US president to suggest it.

I see you’re making the rounds in several threads trying to push your TDS shtick.
Greenlanders aren’t interested either.
