Greenland USA

Politics is the art of the possible, but the art what is allowed to be possible is statecraft and the raw wielding of power, and you cannot even definitively name who is doing that, much less control them. The analysis of the State Department seems to remain remarkably consistent, regardless of the occupant of the White House.

I know you don't like America, but the fact is that Denmark has treated Greenland like a red-headed stepchild, starved and locked in the basement and ignored, for decades. They're only getting all "We Luvz Our Greenies" now because their antiquated colonialist pride and do-nothing liberal self-image are threatened. They're winging up a storm and playing the peaceful European card, because no one remembers their bloody colonial history, and they're afraid as hell of an actual plebiscite. They're doing everything they can to spin that such a thing would be ridiculous.

Any chance of posting evidence for your claims?

Odd how all this hating on Denmark is popping up.

How convenient.

I think a significant percentage of Greenlanders support eventual independance from Denmark, once the economic conditions allow.

And Greenland already left the EU in 1985.

So it is not seeking independence from Europe.

Your country is sinking, you are ignorant or too lazy to care, more interested on throwing shade elsewhere while Britain flounders.
Still laughing you need me to point it out.

What TV are you getting that crap from?

Get back on topic, please.

If you believe that's true then what are you doing here?
Why are you debating me?
Does this help you

what I dislike is corruption
Not America

And by the looks of it about 85% don't want American rule.

But any vote would be the Greenlanders desision.

They are the ones who would need to call for such.

The law is;

Congress votes to get Greenland

Then if yes

Greenland votes

Then if yes

Congress approves and Greenland is a state.

It's in the Constitution.

The sovereignty of Greenland is not the same as Denmark.
Denmark already gave up much of their sovereignty by giving it up to the EU
which has turned into a Marxist organization.
Greenland has been pleading for independence since the 1970’s.

Why? I've just finished explaining that debate and whinging don't change the underlying reality of geopolitics, and you're rolling up to me in your Rolls Royce and asking through the window for some Grey Poupon and a source citation?

Find your own mustard, sir.

As far as i can determine, your constitution does not lay out that process.

What part, and what law?

Congress cannot just acquire a territory by a vote alone.

And a territory does not automatically become a state, does it?

Would congress not require a treaty or agreement for a start?

The Greenlanders would need to kick off the process.

And again, the majority are saying "no."

To the tune of around 85% or thereabouts.

This is madness, and i think Trump knows that just fine.

Well then, we won't be getting Greenland then.

No worries.
