Greenland USA
Thule, Greenland.  Where there's a pretty girl behind every tree.

Is that because there a whole lot of trees or not?

Asking for a friend that’s never been in the AF nor Greenland.

Being station in Greenland was often (especially during the cold-war) jokingly considered "punishment".... sort of the opposite of being assigned in Hawaii...

Meeting exciting young ladies was out of the realm of possibility...  No

... and that was at least 1/2 of any airman's leisure time "dreams."

It is so important that we learn from history, so we don't keep making the same mistakes.

History isn't just a record of what happened.

It's a record of how people thought, what they feared, what they valued, and how those choices played out.

What's interesting is that societies often do repeat patterns, not because they haven't read history books, but because of the underlying pressures that show up again in new forms.

Recognizing those patterns early is where the real power lies.

When people refuse to be turned against each other, the whole dynamic changes.

Leaders lose the incentive to divide, and the public conversation shifts toward what actually matters (rights, dignity, opportunity, fairness, etc.).

Trump’s threats, previously dismissed as bluster, are now being seen as an early signal of how melting ice is turning Greenland into a valuable geopolitical flashpoint.
Do these people not do ANYTHING until Trump pokes them in the eye with a sharp stick?
It looks like Trump may be forced into having to make a deal, something which he needs a refresher course in.

They should make a deal, our build the proper military infrastructure in Greenland to keep Russia and China in check.

Unless they send the Gravediggers, the EU troops are not preparing to face the US.

Russia?  With no aircraft carrier and poor logistics and given their failure to take a country next door, I can't see them being a threat to Greenland.

Would China risk WW3?

I think their focus is on Taiwan.
'l'll just check my Giveashitometer....Nope.  Nothing...
