No, este es mi idioma materno. Pero hablo español con fluidez y estoy aprendiendo frances.
Plus, I think when you learn a 2nd or 3rd language as an adult it forces out the America talk.
And though that's all I really have to say, you've taught me that long rambling responses are what I should use responding to you. like really, unnecessarily long ones that make your eyes gloss over.
So, did you know MY economic inspirations are Milton Friedman and Ayn Rand?
Did you know i score a 4.1 on the X axis of that political quiz. I mean, Im not full on "Ayn Rand," but theres certainly been enough objectivist fountainheads in my life...
* you never know, I could actually NOT support even collective bargaining or compulsory pension/healthcare plans for employers. My liberal so far has been mostly on the social ones. Maybe a few "make peace with obamacare" posts. But my neoliberal hasn't really had much too say apart from criticizing tariffs.
You dont see me complaining Trump is going to cut off the illegals free emergency housing coverage. Or Trump is going to reduce the size of government.
Just that he assumes they are welfare burdens and gets rid of them regardless how few actually take handouts.
Do I complain that in 12 days 3.5 million Californians get kicked off MediCal? Because if anything, 14 million of 39.5 million might be an absurdly liberal expense for me too.
The swiss method didnt take here because it didnt come with flat taxes.
Honestly, I think they should limit socialized medicine programs to the elderly, disabled, and vets. And for everyone else, offer tax rebates for self pay on the back end if uninsured when it happens. And offer strait deductions (exceeding 7 5%) for medical expenses for people that dont recieve free healthcare at work. Then a person making 56k and spending 14k on an insurance premium pays taxes for 42k even if not self-employeed. Problem kinda solved. Government still small.
But even THAT makes me contrast with other neoliberals.
I am even all for a small fiscally conservative government and I have absolutely no problem cutting funding to unnecessary programs. The siphoning of unnecessary spending is the bureaucracy of red tape. The pre-studies. The impact studies. The bullshit steps of greased hands and Vogon menial tasks.
But that's fiscal, not social..
Socially i say, "Good, illegals dont need handouts for being illegal. But do you really have to assume they are "dole bludgers" and give them the toss with such angry authority? Maybe they'll contribute to the economy? Like most do.
Like I wont even bother to get into that. Because "fiscal conservative" cant be separated from "social conservative" nowadays anyway.. like they ALWAYS must walk together.
Like Opposition of ICE means you MUST support the welfare prograns of emergency shelter and healthcare too... for some reason..
And did you know I am so capitalist I am getting pissed at Trump's tariffs-O-leverage and protectionist isolation crap?
Free market it is not.
Because now a lot of my clothing and shoes have those Southeast Asia tariffs.
It was sure nice when these apparel companies could outsource to Cambodian slave labor and get me my turtleneck for $40 instead of this $70 (that was supposed to make my life greater and easier.)
But "America First" apparently means isolationism and anti free trade tariffs that raise costs primarily for the working classes. I'm all for allowing them to make way more money in outsourcing. I'm not for hamstringing them with protectionism to renationalize production and drive up competitive domestic costs because theres money to be had. I'm for affordable cars built in Mexico and traded freely.
And i really like globalism. Totally free people. Totally free market. Trump mocks both in some way i can't do with.
Is that long and rambling enough? I think it is.
