The good news is that DI's hosting was paid for a whole year by a kind friend of the forum, so we aren't going anywhere soon.

The potentially better news is that DI is accepting buying offers, contact [email protected] for more details.

I hope whoever buys it knows computers and coding and stuff.

That all depends. Several years ago I was an admin on Seatails for some time. It was a mermaid fan site. The owner used it to learn and test new software for his business. We had to rebuild it several times just because he would change the whole site out. That got very annoying and eventually no one came back. 

It is good news that this owner is trying to work something out instead of just shutting it down.

It is good news that this owner is trying to work something out instead of just shutting it down.

I promised myself I would let this experience end quietly...
so I didn't intend to chat about it...
but it is important to note. 

The owner of this site never wanted to shut it down... it was not like that at all.

But then, I'm only a moderator, so all I can offer is my word.

TSK wrangled this abode of ours out of pure good will and focused effort...

I dislike associating DI's struggle with him (or anyone) personally for one simple reason:

DI is nothing without our members...

"Shutting down" might only happen if you all never came back home...

Patience and consideration will prove this hurdle is in the past...
What matters is that the community can always add DI to their favorites list, assuming it remains one.
