I absolutely agree that action needs to be taken to stop the flow of harmful drugs and illegal weapons coming across all borders, but Trump is up to something else because Fentanyl coming across Canada's border to the U.S. is not at all comparable to other countries' flow of harmful drugs, especially Fentanyl.
So, he must be up to something else?
Charlie Angus thinks Trump is after Canada's fresh water or other resources.
Does the U.S. have a fresh water problem? Are remedial actions in place right now?
I am not so sure Angus' statement is that far-fetched.
Although Piers Morgan says Trump won't make good on his tariff threats.
Time will tell.
Quote:Trump tied migrant entries and fentanyl to tariffs. Here are the facts.Neither his claim that border crossings constitute an unchecked “invasion” nor his depiction of drugs pouring across an “open” and unguarded border has any basis in federal data.
Donald Trump’s claim that illegal border crossings are out of control — which was among the reasons he cited for the tariffs he said Monday he plans to enact against Mexico, Canada and China — is contradicted by U.S. Customs and Border Protection data showing lower levels of crossings this fall than during the final months of Trump’s first term.
