Still relevant.....

Since I first heard RUSH way back when I was 14, there has always been something both energizing and soothing about their music.

Absolutely, I played this constantly in my car for half a year...

Been hearing a lot of interesting music on the "radio" this week...

Same as it ever was....

After a lot of studio experience with different genres, I've been relistening to classics from my youth.

I saw these guys in-the-round, god knows when. We should get a side thread of bands that we've seen.

GenX is all I can say. Most people think of Grunge, "Hip-Pop" (my term) and other newer forms of GenX music, but really it was a movement against Boomer Rock, from the 1980's. A fine line, where people just a few years older have a wildly different aesthetic.
This is me today.   Just a tangle of snakes.  Interesting.   Not necessarily a bad thing.

Actually, the live video is significantly better:

"Everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about.   Be kind.  Always".   -  Darielys Tejera/Spc. Douglas Jay Green/Robin Williams

"Pseudoscience, depending for its “truth” on consensus, is deeply hostile to challenge."   - Rael Jean Isaac
Meet Rush's New Drummer.

I didnt like Prog Rock (or Rush) until I started listening to jam band and bluegrass is college.  Then it was an upward spiral of greater musicianship and complexity.  And Rush was at the pinnacle of that journey.

I'm gonna guess, she will vault to the rank of "Greatest Drummer in the World" in 2026...

I feel left out having never heard of her before this.

I'm not sure I can name all the bands I've seen, but I'll always remember that first one.

I think you should do that.  A whole 'nother way to list music we might otherwise overlook.
Revisiting an old favourite today...
