That being said ... I'm teasing you.
Call it what you want.
Here it's soccer, and here it's not popular.
(unless you are an immigrant - that's what the statistics say)
Have a warm beer or two and enjoy your soccer.
That's what you guys do over there, right?  Drink it warm instead of cold (LIKE IT SHOULD BE  Biggrin  )

Room temperature, actually, old bean.

For Ales.

Except for lagers and Guinness, which are served cold.

Statistically and factually speaking, you are all of immigrant descent.
'l'll just check my Giveashitometer....Nope.  Nothing...

My ancestor saved a king, but im still a Viking immigrant.

Most of us have immigrant blood here in the UK of some sort.

Here it's "Football", same as in the history books.

LoL

Give me a warm pint, and it's going back.

Ice cold or not at all.

I like Guinness to begin with and then bottles of Corona with a slice of lime.

Then statistically and factually speaking, so are you.
Every person on the planet is of 'immigrant descent' if you go back far enough.
But that's irrelevant.
The point is .... native born Americans, of which I am one, do not generally like soccer,
however the immigrant Americans do.   That's the stats.  It's not 'racist' to say so.

Whaat? Guinness is recommended to be served at room temperature, or are your UK homes always cold? lol

What's interesting is that Americans younger than 40ish are becoming more interested in soccer there in the USA, it's not just immigrants, it's younger people mingling with immigrants and newer generation Americans.

Anyway, to each their own. I prefer to watch football (not soccer) and hockey, when I'm in the mood, which isn't often. Otherwise, I watch the Olympics more than those types of sports.

No, can't you read, and so sensitive to boot

I loved playing American soccer occasionally growing up, and really enjoyed playing EA Sports FIFA well into my 40s and 50s...

Watching the games live is fine as long as you can dodge the piss cups... and afford the beer

but on TV

Snooooooze you can go grab a beer and they are still passing it back and forth to the midfield till they boot back to thier goalkeeper and start the process all over.

Hell the United had a game where thier closest shot on goal was 35 meters away for 3 and a half hours
His mind was not for rent to any god or government

My 12-year-old is mad for that game.

All he ever plays.

FIFA 26 is only about £25($34) on PC just now if anyone's interested.
