LOL Billions watch because it's the only sport they have access to, in much of the third world, it's the only sports recreation many can afford, all you need is a ball and a field. Hell, we played soccer on our less busy neighborhood streets occasionally, growing up. Because it was easier to play than baseball and basketball
The billions are automatically drawn towards something you played as a kid.
Kids all over the Caribbean would love to play baseball, but they have to use cardboard for a catcher's mitt and broom handles for bats, which kind of limits participation, and it's still popular as hell

No. Just, no.
It's not "Baseball". It's "Rounders". It's not "Basketball". It's "Netball".
Savvy, savvy?

I loved Tottenham when i was a lad.

LOL went to find an article about how popular the "fans" throwing ones urine has become at soccer matches and found out how disgusting the players are too
The German manager picked and ate a booger during the World Cup match, FFS.

Quote:The World Cup has thrown up plenty of memorable moments down the years, but most fans would probably rather forget these five incidents.
Featuring spit, vomit, urine, bogeys and a bit of defecation thrown in for good measure, these are the five grossest things to ever happen in a World Cup.
And they’re liable to make you gag, so don’t say you weren’t warned!

I didn't say that I did. You are reading too much into the comments about immigrants.
It's just the statistic .... native born Americans don't get into soccer, but the immigrants do.
Here, soccer isn't a 'thing'.
The big sport is football (which I don't watch).
Second biggest is baseball (which I don't watch).
Third biggest and last on the 'big' list is hockey (which I do watch).
Soccer doesn't make the 'big list' of what is watched here.

Yes. And proud of it.
Perhaps you could more accurately call your game "American Throwball"?
