Everyone has bad days
#1
Everyone does.  My sister-in-law just died Sunday jogging with her dog.  A truck hit her.  My brother has just gotten back from an 8-month deployment in the Middle East with the Navy on Saturday.

Everyone has bad days.

Vets, also.

Call 988 if you need to talk to someone.

We all have dark days, bad days.

With the holidays it can be even worse.

Call the number.  People will listen.  People will help.

It's saved my life.

Just sayin'

I truly wish I could muster faith in 'services' to help me.

Often they are just cookie-cutter. conversation driven by flow chart.

And I am aware that the people who offer their personal presence are great and caring people.

But the system process seems more about distributing patients to private companies... than 'vet-centered' care.

I suppose it's part of the problem... my own attitude.

But thanks from the bottom of my heart for the reminder...

Reaching for help is not failure, there is no shame, and many of us wait too long to get it.

Thank you !   What you have said matters.  I hope someone that needs to hear this reads your thread. Thumbup Thumbup

p.s.  I had a bad day also.  Bad news seems to come in bunches.   I guess that's okay.   All best my friend.

Sorry for your loss.

And sorry for your poor brother's loss DB.

RIP to the poor lady, and god bless.

I had a suicide attempt a while back, not going to talk about it, but I was followed up to the point where my VA councilor would show up at work to talk.

The programs do matter.

There are people trying to help.

Reach out if you need to.

No words suffice in these situations...but perspective is in the ballpark

Prayers for strength and eventual peace and solace for you and yours

Always hopeful yet discontent, knows changes aren't permanent
But change is

My God.

Words are never enough but I hope your brother can find some peace after that.

In my community, which is admittedly small, it's a matter of just looking out for people who need and hand.   It's not difficult.   Larger places have different stresses on people, where they are less willing to engage a person who needs help.   I believe that when you engage in a positive manner with others, you increase your energy.   Yes, I'm a loon.   Still, I'm not yet a moonbat.   Not even close.
