Egg prices are going up here in Texas and the grocery sections are looking a bit threadbare.  Like most supply shortages, I expect it to get worse over the next few months (since it takes nearly six months before a hen can lay eggs and they are really only commercial-level producers for 2-4 years. https://livestock.extension.wisc.edu/art...laying-hen)  The flocks that are left will continue to lay, of course, but there will be fewer in number for many months.

And the downside of that is that once prices go up, they seldom go down to their pre-rise price.
