I think we are past the point in history where truth is even possible in politics if it ever was. Buyer beware.

In my opinion, there is no question that its intentional. I agree though how can you have an honest conversation if you cannot trust the sources of data that are publicly provided to cross-check it?

I know most people won't look. I thing that's exactly what is wanted.

Reminds me of the Harry Potter films, specifically the diary that functions like a dybbuk box. One of the characters says "never trust any [technology] that can think for itself if you can't see where it keeps its brain"

And here we are toying with artificial intelligence that is plugged in somewhere distant and mythical.

Ofcourse it is intentional, just like its not a coincidence you have to search very thoroughly on Google to find a source that says something positive about Trump.

Its not much different from actual propaganda. Its a propagandistic algorithm.
