He said to her, You gonna put it on right this time ? " { apparently this is a running joke between them } and she said "I always put it on the right way, you're just ass backwards ".
This lead to the great debate about how toilet paper is supposed to go on the holder. Some say over the top, some say hanging underneath.
I have no idea why it matters.
I am of the opinion that as long as it's there, I don't care which way it hangs. I don't even care if it's on the holder. As long as it's within arms reach, I'm fine with it.
Ok, DOES it matter ? And why ? I just don't get it.
Maybe it's me. I don't understand a lot of things people are weird about.
My Wife doesn't like her food to touch and eats one thing at a time. She'll eat all the green beans, then the corn, then the baked potato and the meat is always last. Steak, chicken, whatever, it's always the last thing she eats and you never, Ever mix any together. She's ok with soups or stews that are supposed to be mixed, but otherwise, nothing can touch.
I'm a godless heathen. I stir corn into mashed potatoes and eat a bit of everything at once.
I also don't understand people who won't share food. We've been in a restaurant and after my Wife has taken a bite of her food and then hold out a bite on her fork for me to try. I've had people look at us like we just sacrificed our firstborn in the middle of the table. This is the person you kiss hello and goodbye, have sex with, share a bed together and you're worried about cooties from a fork ?
I've even went so far as to use her toothbrush after her. It was extraordinary circumstances { we were camping, somehow only brought one and I'm not going through the day with furry teeth } and I rinsed it really well beforehand, but I still used it.....and then threw it away and later went the 20 miles to the closest Wal Mart and got 2 more.
For some people bathroom hygienic details and toilet paper direction of flow matters a lot. You'd have to ask those people why. But the original patent shows the correct way or direction of flow, the question is still 'Why?'. Would not the opposite direction of flow have a tendency to have the paper become lost behind the roll/wall?
