Hi,
Have any of you experienced/performed "distance viewing?"
Some years ago I attended a local paranormal research society meeting where they tested each of us for distance viewing, and I passed the test.
Here's how the test was conducted.
We stared at a snowy TV screen while 2 other members left the building and went into a store and stared at an object. The participant staring at the object made a drawing of what he saw on a piece of paper, then placed the paper into a solid black envelope and sealed it. That envelope was placed into a larger solid black envelope and sealed. They returned to the meeting room.
Those of us being tested were then instructed to sketch what the remote member saw. While staring at the screen, I briefly saw image of the stern of a boat.
Sketches were collected and black envelopes were opened in the meeting. Mine closely approximated the sketch made by the member who went into the store. They determined that I had passed the test.
I don't know how to control this skill, and I've not experienced distance viewing since that one occasion. if any of you know how to further develop distance viewing further, please advise.
Many thanks

"Distance viewing" as you describe it is the same as "remote viewing". The ability to do it is not distributed uniformly throughout the population. Some people can't seem to do it at all, some people can do it some of the time, and some people are stars--they can do it accurately on demand. The fact that you could do it to some degree the first time out says that you probably have some of the talent. How much, I can't say, but your experience is similar to mine. Like almost all talents, it can be improved with practice and training. I would recommend books and videos by Russel Targ if you want to develop your skill. However, it will take time and effort to develop.

Also a useful training I have read about is using playing cards/tarot cards, and staring at the back and writing down your guesses.
The more you do this, supposedly the stronger your third eye will get at picking up what's on the other side of the card.

Obviously, in my opinion in this example 'guess' is more like 'attempted seeing,' using a calm mind and trying to use your third eye for flashes of images in your 'mindscreen' what it is.

Oh easy sounding -- 'calm mind'. Difficult. Much 'stilling of the waters' needed. Can be years of practice to get there. Even then the world's often just too noisy.
Easier way, similar: sit cross leg, semi-dark room. Have some shapes, outlines, furnature, whatever to look at that you can dimly see. Breath, relax. Let the eyes shut. Calm the phosphines. Slowly slowly open the eyes halfway. Keep relaxed. Find the point where you're not sure if your eyes are open and you're seeing actual objects or they're closed and you're imagining it. Still the attention until it fades. Keep focused, and imagine the scene slowly moving. Let it drift. This is called hypnogogic hallucinations. Or maybe astral travel. Let the imagination work the vision, but don't grasp and try to control. See where it takes you, be observer. In this, one can much easily see 'flashes in mindscreen'. You'll be surprised.

Funnily enough, I think we all have the natural physical urge to squint or close our eyes when do use this third eye, so focussing on the outline of the card could have the same effect. just, chillllll

I saw flashes like that, Russel Targ, a hill and cartoons. I also had to go buy blinders because my eyes don't stay closed and weird stuff happens when I open them.
