When I was a kid this was who I wanted to be and what I wanted to do...

fewer personal responsibilities, a bit younger ....

Plus, I'm an hour outside of Dayton lots of stuff goes on there.

The only problem I see is to keep it rolling with fresh stories if it's daily, now a weekly Pod cast would be Ideal to start out.

It won’t have to be daily. At least at first it will be on our own schedule as we can get doors open. Then we’ll all sit down and decide what kind of deadlines we’d be looking at, if any.
Logic is dead. Long live BS.

For a great many members of our community, if I may add... self-expression is not lacking; seeking to add to an ongoing conversation is usually easy here on DI.

We very well could become a conduit of news  - for the community - being the only proviso I would caution against breaking.

It may be very tempting to report for a cause... to speak to and or for, a cause represented in your story.
Please patiently remember that editorialized, is often not news...
This crowd traditionally reacts to that... don't be fooled.
Somethings are simply impossible to conceal, so don't bother... if what people think and do is a motivator for the story congratulations, you just became an activist.

Reporting seems most beneficial when the agent in question is legitimately exploring, discovering, uncovering...
Right now, this idea is unspoiled... I hope all participants engage in earnest...
It is like a birthing moment.

In the world of interpreting 'news,' all of us have seen the difference in reporting when motivated by anything other than 'establishing the record.'

Wouldn't it be supremely odd, if DI could become a better part of wisdom to consult, even if only for the success of her members efforts to that end...

But DI can be so much more... thank goodness many of us are passed the 'admiring blind ambition' stage in our lives.

WONDERFUL idea, and I am supportive and will help out any way I can.   Fortunately for me, I live in a small, very boring place, and therefore the probability of my ever having something to contribute is statistically slim.

ETA:   However, should anything noteworthy ever occur on these islands, I will certainly contact one of the accredited Press Corps to inform them of our shizz.

I could be tempted but as I'm located in what is for many literally the arse end of the world - but for those of us who are here it is truly Gods Own Country - North East England, sadly I'm not entirely sure I'd be of much use.

It would depend on what people would like to read about, the NE has plenty of historical connections with the world especially the formative years of other nations, cultural issues and immigration, media and entertainment, science and technology...

We have enough to entertain some folks. On the paranormal side of things we have some really haunted places such as chillingham castle, bags of UFO sightings too.

I could help out with a NE England branch, I'd probably be useless at interviews though.
