Most experiments on the activities and effects of human change need a Guinea Pig so why not use him and his endeavours?

PR and propaganda cannot break encryption.
It requires math, hardware, and usually, lots and lots of time.
Quantum computing theoretically threatens to be able to rapidly factor large primes, which could speed up decryption, but no-one has really actually done that yet, because to date all quantum computers are 'flaky' and error prone.
Reading of quantum states is more stochastic than precise. The best that we have achieved at the moment aims to reduce these errors, but does not eliminate them.
So the suggestion that Trump has access to a secret functional quantum computer, is clearly fiction. Perhaps he has access to infinite monkeys pecking away at typewriters that give him insights into the world (the way he has just screwed the US economy might suggest it)?

Yes, the coding is the problem and was a known factor from the start. Humans built a machine they are struggling to use efficiently.
And I never made the suggestion that Trump has access to a secret functional quantum computer, merely that he could be the Guinea Pig. I should have used the word "unwittingly" perhaps. My bad.

That we know about with the national security implications. Mayne there are other ways to crack that code rather than brute force? What could some AI do with enough training data and its pattern recognition? We might not fully understand the math, hard to argue with results.
With the ongoing development going on deeper into the quantum realm, it is not a matter of if prime factoring gets cracked, but when. Need more than that to crack Bitcoin, Swift is stuffed.
For now the banking system has an advantage in following the money trail. Still a lot of dead ends, not as many in some ways, more in others.
The only constant is change, prime factoring ain't lasting forever as a method of establishing human integrity. As for what comes next? Technological development has not stopped yer.

rsa (prime factor) might not be cracked, but didn't the snowden stuff leak that there's an effective mass parallel stored cyphertext attack feasible that nsa has in progress? suspect also that x509 (cert xchg) is implementationally bitched and aes (elliptic curve) is covertly attackable, but no evidence for that one other than being too clever by half. factoring seems like easy fake lynchpin to distract, swift as you mention is probably protected in depth. also not convinced that successively embedded sboxing (blockchain sha) isn't vuln. it hasn't been proven not to be, right? but no one wants to say that, and its held up so far. what a day that would be if something like eq group md5 convergence leaked for midchain replacement!

Does it seem like an endless game of creep forward and catch up?
Now imagine the wrinkle of "poisoned data" and meta-encoded content.
Yummy.

Yeah... Increasing the bit length of the encryption has been working so far in keeping up with technology.
The qubit is still in its early days, progress continues.
Superposition. I don't get how a value is 0 and 1 at the same time. I do get how the value can move and be any value between 0 and 1. The use of imaginary numbers indicates that the qubit is actually stored in a 2 dimensional matrix. If that is the case, then one axis could be 0 while another axis is 1 at the same time.
Entanglement. Some promising theories and experiments. Part of the dream. Going to take the lead in next level encryption for whoever gets over that line first.
